Lake O'Hara is one of the best-preserved places in the Canadian Rockies. It sits high in the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 2,020m (6,627 feet). It is a beautiful sub-alpine glacial lake surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. There are so many accessible trails starting right from the lake, hikers can easily spend days here without getting bored. But 11-kilometer to the lake in one way from parking lot, you can either take the shuttle or hike in. If you are lucky to reserve the shuttle, you can spare this 22-kilometer walking, save the energy to climb 10~20 kilometers mountains. Access to Lake O’Hara is strictly controlled with a reservation system, which means that it is never crowded.
Luckily got camping reservation for 3 days, it was pure nature without cell signals and electricity. Unfortunately, it was raining and cloudy most of time, plus the forest fire from Jasper, the sky was covered with foggy most of time. Here is the view of Lake O'Hara and adjacent Mary Lake, the crystal-clear lakes, hanging valleys, towering snow-capped mountains, and the pristine nature that shows the best Yoho National Park has to offer.

Another cloudy day with a poor rain. We returned for the other side of the fjords of the Northwest, another bath of peace and wild nature...just for clean our souls...

The Nord/LB administration building was built between 1998 and 2002 and designed by the architectural firm Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner.
The 18 floors of the high-rise do not follow a strict rectangular arrangement, but are arranged in blocks and twisted against each other. With the exception of the top three floors, there are no two identical ceilings in the tower: the floors are not only partially twisted against each other, but also set back from each other. The tower is stabilized, among other things, by the adjacent parts of the building and a continuous fire shaft running to the rear. However, two steel composite supports carry the majority of the load. They are therefore 1 m thick and partly run outdoors for balance reasons. To prevent the supports from shortening in low temperatures, they must be heated in winter.

Situato in località Caldaie a 2447 m, con vista sulla conca del Veglia dominata dal Monte Leone, il nuovo Bivacco Farello sostituisce il precedente posizionato alla Bocchetta d’Aurona ora smantellato per le sue condizioni ormai precarie e la vicinanza con la Cabane Monte Leone.
La sua posizione permetterà nuove avventure sulle cime tra il Veglia e l’elvetica valle del Binn, una per tutte l’Helsenhorn 3272 m , che per essere raggiunte finora esigevano lunghi avvicinamenti.
A sovrastare il bivacco, la cima delle Piodelle 3081 m sulle cui pareti sono state aperte numerose vie d’arrampicata, raggiungibile anche dagli escursionisti salendo al passo di Boccareccio e percorrendo la facile cresta Ovest.
