We believe this image was taken across the street from 38 Chapel Street, Hudson, New York --the residence of Ezra and Emma Meicht. The vertical plank between the two subjects reads "...LENBECK '84". The 1900 census showed a Hollenbeck family living on the opposite side of the street from 38 Chapel. For clarity, I clipped out the image of the plank, enhanced the contrast, rotated it 90 degrees, stretched the letters to compensate for perspective, and pasted it in on the bottom of the image.
We were moored in the guest pier in the middle of the village bay in Olmö. It seemed that sailing boats were not a common sight there.
The bay was a bit cramped even for our boat. On the other hand, the depth was about two meters, which is enough for us.
