This is a shot of some bubbles in the neck (top) of a freshly opened bottle of Desparados Verde beer, the bubbles were tiny, the whole field of view (photo) is about 10mm wide. Manfrotto Tripod, Olloclip macro @ 21x magnification, Hisy remote, Makita LED torch, brewed further in Snapseed on iPad Pro with help from an Apple Pencil, and finally gently poured in 'Photos' on iMac.

A large glass (roughly the size of a pint glass) decorative scented candle holder (sold with the candle already inside), this is a close up of the centre of a flower with petals extending outwards (photo area approx 1cm x 1cm) that's cut into the external surface of the holder (maybe 20 or so of these flowers cut into the surface of the holder altogether), barely noticable to the touch, surrounded by gold decorative flakes which appear to be printed on the inside surface of the glass. The shot was taken with the iPhone on the outside of the holder together with the torch which helped to highlight the flower shape. The holder itself is made from about 3mm thick glass. So the fine lines visible must be the original cut marks made in the glass surface.

So this is a shot of a slither of courgette (cut lengthways at about a 1-2mm thickness) the slice was then placed on a glass block (50mm thick) with a Makita torch placed underneath the block, letting light through the courgette. The completed image is representing in real terms about 8mm x 6mm of the courgette.

A note to MacroMondays group users.......this photo was taken before the theme was released for this week. It was only by chance that this photo fitted the remit, and after a recommendation from a follower that I should add it to the group today. Due to work commitments I was not able to take any further photos for the 'textures' theme during this week.

Blow Fly - Green Bottle (Neomyia cornicing). Saw this tiny fly today at work in Devizes, it had been caught by a spiders web on its leg. this gave me an opportunity to try and get a few shots while it rested in between fruitless attempts of escape, the spider soon won the day and all was over within 5 minutes. RIP tiny fly....Let me also say that the entire time this struggle went on I also struggled within myself....should I, or should I not let it go. Eventually I came to the conclusion that on this particular occasion I wasn't going to act like God, after all, by releasing the fly I could also be killing the spider. Handheld, Olloclip macro @ 21x, Hisy remote, tweaked in 'Photos' on iMac.

Zebra spider (Salticus scenicus)......I think this is a female which would mean she should be 7mm long fully grown (the male is 6mm). Saw this tiny spider yesterday on our bin outside the house, quickly put on the Olloclip macro @ 21x and took a few shots....very surprised at this one...better than I expected, especially as the lens was within a centimetre of her, but she held her ground for just long enough!!! Based on her body length I would guess that the head width in this photo is somewhere around 2mm.....they also jump.....up to 100mm in distance.....and are very common in the UK....amazing little babies!!!..Handheld, Hisy remote, tweaked in Snapseed on iPhone.

Revisited an old shot I took in April 2016 with the iPhone but never used it until today, originally I used olive oil and soya milk (gently placed inside the oil, and also pumped into the water by syringe to get the shadowed fluid effect) in water, A4 yellow and orange tissue paper, Makita 18v torch, Olloclip macro @ 7x, Manfrotto tripod, Hisy remote, conceived in Snapseed on iPad Pro.

A slave to the rhythm of nature....a worker bee busy collecting pollen. Visited Hidcote today, a world-famous 'Arts and Crafts' garden nestled in the north Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. It covers approximately 10 acres and was created by the talented and wealthy American horticulturalist, Major Lawrence Johnston. The period 1907 – 1914 saw the creation of intimate garden rooms around the house (Hidcote Manor).

This Brimstone moth was resting on a wall just at the entrance to the male Public Toilets in Mullion Cove, Cornwall, UK.

Used the iPhone 6s Plus with an Olloclip macro add on lens @ 7x magnification and a Hisy remote for this shot. Ever so gently tickled and cropped in DxO Optics Pro on Mac.

The iPhone does a pretty decent job of taking close up photos for identification purposes even though you have to get so close to the subject.....for this particular lens about 1cm, so disturbing the creature is always a risk.....on this occasion the moth slept right through......zzzzz
