Exciting News!! My photo has been chosen for the Apple- Shot on iPhone 6S Color campaign. It will be seen on billboards around the world!
Peacock feather detail, while shopping with my partner in Frome, Somerset, this was at a retro-shop, took my eye, Olloclip macro @ 21x, handheld, remote, cropped about 50%, tweaked in Snapseed on iPhone, colours pretty much the same...natures so cool!!!!
Home for the Holidays always means a visit to downtown Plymouth, Michigan - the ultimate small town USA.
I got a new iPhone and Olloclip macro pro. My real goal is snowflakes (check out my ones from last year), but since it isn't snowing yet, here's an autumn leaf.
This is cropped because the edges were blurry. I'm not sure if that's an issue with the olloclip or the alignment with the Ollocase I'm using, or if I just need to practice using it better. Anyway at the scales I like to use for snowflakes, cropping a bit is usually reasonable, and that will come out better now that the new iPhone has higher resolution.
It does suck to have to buy a new version of a lens I already had for a new phone just because the casing is in a different shape, but it's such a useful tool that I just had to do it. The macro 21x is amazing.
I haven't decided yet about buying the Olloclip with the wide/telephoto lenses. Anyone have test shots taken with that one with the the iPhone 6s?
See also my snowflakes album (www.flickr.com/photos/jesspictures/sets/72157646896344547), for macro photos of snowflakes taken with the Olloclip and with other similar setups.
...and maybe the Big Things will disappear. I focused on a view of the building in an Olloclip lens. There are apps that will do this, but my way is a lot more fun. I just gotta remember to keep my finger from in front of the tiny lens.
