Mom planted wisteria to create a little privacy from icky the icky neighbors we used to have next door (their dormer of their house can be seen in the upper left corner of the photo). Mom knew how invasive the wisteria was going to be. She saw the damage it was going to the porch but she would only allow it to be trimmed. Last weekend we cut down the base. It was a choice between the house or the wisteria.
the wind ripped this piece of flashing from underneath the eave of my house. It blew through my yard and up the street. The neighbor across the street saw it.
I have now gathered all six pieces of a late '60s/early '70s sectional sofa (four pieces) with matching end tables (two that are stackable) and coffee tables (also two that are stackable). A few years ago when I only had half the set I had the pieces reupholstered in red. I loved it. Unfortunately the red has been discontinued so now now all I need is about 100 yards of fabric and a really big living room.
these were teeny tiny goldfish (about an inch long) that were saved from a post school carnival fate of being flushed. Fish grow to their envirnoment. They are huge.
Bunny is a stray cat that showed up on my front porch a couple of years ago. He was scrawny , dirty and skittish. FYI, I didn't name him a neighbor did because when he still sits on his hind legs with his front paws resting on his haunches. He had sores on his front paws so I think it was a more comfortable way to sit. I neutered Bunny and gave him his shots. Unfortunately his has leukemia. I gave Bunny away to a man who was going to take care of him but Bunny broke a vase, tore a blind from a window and finally tore out of the door when the man went to work. It took Bunny about an hour to run back to my front porch.
