I had a plan! I left the house with a plan and only this bag, a pair of scissors and my camera... and I knew exactly what I was going to do! It's a first! (I know... you're thinking "BIG DEAL!" .... well, for me, it kind of IS a big deal!) And it actually worked out just as I planned, and I was happy with it! Of course, I would have been happier if the plan had included bug spray and long pants.... but, hey! It's a start!
And somehow... while I was doing this, I apparently managed to record a video with my phone AND post that to Flickr.... another (unintended) first. I rarely take videos and I have never posted anything from my phone directly to Flickr. I don't even know HOW to do that... but apparently, I did it. *sigh*
So D is a pirate this year for Halloween! I've been sticking this hat on him for the last 2 weeks...trying to get him used to it. :)
This shot is almost 100% SOOC. I did up the exposure just a tiny bit...that was all! I loved the light and shadow. The light was sooo awesome tonight! This is my first Fall season with my D200 and I'm realizing that light is different at different times of the year...and so far, my favorite light is Fall light. Hands down. :)
*FYI - You can get this costume online at oldnavy.com for around $20. (I think that this pirate costume is only available on their website...it is not in stores.)

Olivia visits a studio rental space in NYC
called "Two Stops Brighter". It's on the north side of 29th Street near FIT So on a sunny day in winter there is a monster amount of sunlight.
Olivia is wearing a hoodie from Old Navy that's been laundered a few times but never put in the dryer. Over the hoodie she is wearing an LL Bean windbreaker.
Back in 1998 I was trying to find a hooded sweatshirt that zipped up the front.. Nothing.. I swear.. I looked everywhere. I found one at Banana Republic and it was $40 bucks.
Now they are like white on rice.
The New York TImes had a cover story today with the word Tumult in the headline. I always thought that it was an ancient Yiddish word my grandmother used to describe my visits to her apartment in Brooklyn.

It wasn't exactly a "beach day" today but I couldn't resist kicking off my sandals to feel the sand between my toes.

I know it is so awful, dressing your pet, but ever since I saw this bunny in a sweater on cuteoverload, I knew that Theo needed more clothes (gasp, I never knew she was naked before then!)
Please disregard all the bajillion comforters in the background.
Today Matt and I went to Old Navy and saw they had a whole line of dog clothes. When I saw this striped number I knew it was meant to be, but somebody should tell that to her because she was not happy having it put on her. I was a little worried after the "Harness debacle of 2003" It is a little loose and her fur is so slick that when she takes steps its starts sliding off, but I think if I wash and dry it enough times it will shrink up to fit perfect.
