This is my cat yum-yum, she my old arthritic baby (she’ll be 14 next month), and my Flickr model for just about as long as she’s been alive.
Sally is an old lady who is at peace with the world. In human equivalent years, she's 72 years old. So am I.
This is how she says hello.
After not eating for 4 days, Rocky recovered like the Italian mother on Moonstruck. She has started eating (a little bit) again and still is drinking. She can't climb up to her "penthouse" condo and is moving slowly, but she's still getting around.

She's almost 19 (I think). My sis made sure to let me know that Rocky had stopped eating about 3 days ago, but she seems comfortable. She thinks that she's just tired. Soon, she'll be joining her kitty sis, Kiki. I'll miss her, she's such a good kitty. I'm glad I got this cute picture of her.

Caught this kitty by surprise as he was hunting for something. He seems a little too slow to catch anything though. No luck today! This is our neighbours cat and his name is Haggis. Perfect name for him I think!
Fluffy has always loved to play with ribbons. Yesterday I was wrapping a gift and tried the ribbon out on him. Even though he can't see any more, he still got excited and wanted to play with the ribbon! (He can't see because he has detached retinas in both eyes. He still detects some light but doesn't really see shapes.)
Getting pictures of Rocky is difficult because she doesn't like sitting still, so taking a video of her is easier. She's eating and drinking again, so hopefully, she'll be around for a while.

I found Lizzy and her 5 kittens behind my shed while I was trying to repair the roof, back in 1998 or so. We got all the kittens adopted and fixed, except one who remained too feral to catch, but even that worked out ok, as she went to a ranch family who really wanted more kittens. Lizzy is getting more fragile each day, but she loves sitting out in the sunshine and getting lots of petting time. I think she had a T.I.A. (trans ischemic attack) or mini stroke, last week. She was walking/staggering diagonally and her eyes were moving back and forth like a typewriter. I got her into bed, plied her with water, and had brothy food close by. We slept together and she was almost sprightly, the next day. She was falling over the night before when she would attempt to turn her head, she was now steady on her feet again, and Hungry! She has been better since than, but it's clear that we are on borrowed time, with her.
Mon bébé Dhyana va mieux mais elle a encore des troubles respiratoires. Je n'arrive pas à joindre la vétérinaire.
My kitty Dhyana immune system is ok but her respitary sytem is still bad. I cannot reach her vet.
[https://www.flickr.com/photos/untamedunbrokenfreespirit] I agree, and Dhyana is not suffering I promise.
She is much better that she was before because of my intervention.
But she still have this upper respitory problems that worries me.
I think she need a little help with antibiotics
Not a too strong one to put her system all upside down.
the veterian thinks it can cause her more problems then resolve some.
but from my research i think it is now the time to do it.
Thank you for your comments and concern
We do so much appreciate xxxxxx [https://www.flickr.com/photos/pearlwinch]

I gave some food to the nasty old alley cat today; a mistake, I know, but I just couldn't stand it anymore. He's so, so thin.
thrift store pics with kitties! seemed to come from one family, with older pics looking like France and newer (50s) being Quebec
My sweet Tina left us a year ago today. This one -- Tina napping on our bed -- is from the archives, in her memory.
sleeping...mommy trying out the new camera thing...check out the funky vintage pillow case behind him...!!
After the old guy had some food he immediately plopped down on our sidewalk and fell asleep. I know that this is likely more a sign of exhaustion from climbing up and down our porch steps and eating than from his just liking it here. I keep expecting to look out in the morning and find him dead out here, he's such a wreck. In the five minutes since I took this photo he's inched down the walk a bit but that's all, and usually as soon as he's had enough to eat he leaves our property right away.
Yes, we do have that much stuff growing up through our sidewalk. I prefer to think of it as lushness rather than as a sign of neglect. It has a wild beauty, just like the scraggly old alley cat. Yeah, that's it.

Sister's old kitty Maurice..."Reesie" for short. He is deaf and blind and almost 20, but he is still a lover who just wants attention.
Dad's 65th birthday, Stow, Ohio, USA, May 19, 2008.
My little friend from the alley, Old Kitty, has taken to showing up in the afternoons for a snack now that I'm back home. His fur is a mess and his bum hip seems to be giving him more trouble than it used to but he's still pretty alert and his sight and hearing are okay.
The old kitty now trusts me enough to let me pick some of the burrs out of his tail. He could really use a brushing but I don't want to push my luck.
the Old Kitty has lost a lot of fur this spring, and what's left is so clotted and matted that he looks quite disgusting. My goal is to take a brush to him this summer; I picked at some of the matts the other day but he didn't like it and inched away. However, I have hope, because he did let me pick a lot of burrs out of his tail one day last year. I just have to get him to trust me again.
Taken just a few hours before she passed. I rescued her from the animal shelter at around 6 weeks old. She gave us 16 wonderful years as the family pet. We miss her very much.
