Fixed my old computer up, an 1.4GHz - removed old hardware, put new hardware in. Cleaned it all up and made it all new for Grandma, has to be better than the current PC she has.

Plus she wants to connect to the internets, so I've ordered connection to be set up at her place, which has been provisioned already!

Grandma will be 78 in October.

9:17AM: Rather than going through something like "Freecycle," I normally bring the old worthless hardware and DVDs to the office. Someone typically takes the stuff and it stays out of the landfill. Today I brought in an old 19" CRT from Samsung that hasn't been powered on in something around four years. The worst part was that I'd only used this one about nine months before replacing it with a larger LCD that took about 15% the power to operate. Being that this one calibrated better though, it sat on the desk till last night when it made its way to the car.
