I have a problem, and I think anyone that's played through Deus Ex: Human Revolution can understand. I just can't get enough of that sweet, sweet black and gold. This board is a bit of a mash-up of both cyberpunk and retro tech and I couldn't love it any more.
The Space65: Cybervoyager; what can I say? I had seen the original Space65 doing the rounds, and found it wasn't doing too much for me, but I saw the Cybervoyager drop earlier this year, I knew what I was treating my self for my birthday. I didn't quite know what I wanted to do with the board theme wise, so I went black for the case colour, and got a couple of varieties for the badge and accent colours; the gold was a shoe in, and the grey and e-white were just come options to go with whatever I needed them to. I'm not much of a fan of RGB, but the shine-through on the badge, and the diffuser really add a nice bit of spice to the board, this is about as tasteful as I could ever want RGB to be.
These switches were a long time coming. I had come to love the Gateron Black Inks from a previous build, and with the silencing options offered with the Cybervoyager, I really wanted to make the quietest board that I could; enter the Gateron Silent Black Inks. To further build on the quiet nature of the switches, I added some lube, and switch films to shore up the tightness of the switches, and sound profile. I opted for the stock springs in these as I already have a number of boards with heavy (80g-180g) springs so going for the slightly lighter 70g weight is already quite a novelty. I really dig how light they feel, as you glide across the board, even the bottom-out is pretty subdued (as it should be), and sounds almost like a pitter-patter of rain on an insulated tin roof.
As for the plate, I really love the look of the carbon fibre plate, and with it being one of the firmer options in the market for plate materials, it really helps keep the smooth linear action of the switches consistent, and sharp; that and the carbon fibre pattern looks super slick The smokey coloured Durock stabs are an absolute treat also. Not only do the housings match the look of the Black Inks, but the gold stab wire adds a nice bit of colour to the inside of the case. Nothing new as far as lubing them went, but I was curious to try out the 'Band-aid' mods. Basically, there's a small pad of fabric (more often or not a plaster, hence the name) placed under the stabiliser, helping to cushion the sound and feel ever so slightly. I hadn't been keen to try it prior because I really like the feel and sound of the plastic on PCB, but I am pleasantly surprised by the final result here. During the group buy, the kit had noise and vibration foam pads in it. The noise pad is designed to sit between the circuit board and plate and help trap the noise inside of the case, and the vibration pad sits in the bottom of the case to reduce any vibration between the circuit board and the inside of the case. All in all, both pads do a fantastic job, and the board has a really solid feel and sound to it which can be attributed by all the different aspects of the build.
As I said earlier, the board was sort of supposed to be a one colour fits all, with a primary focus on the black and gold theme. I have already used the MT3 Serkia set and fell in love with the shape of the profile, and look of the keycaps, and mashing it up with the grey/off-white alphas from MT3 Susuwatari as a thought that I had only briefly entertained. Now, having seen them side by side, I couldn't see anything matching it better; unless I get my hands on a more gold-than-yellow and on black keyset. The Suswatari set was supposed to by my first MT3 set, but it took more that 18 months to go through the process of making the moulds, and matching the colours from the designer. In some ways the massive delays that the set saw were a blessing in disguise, as my expectations of the set had dropped so much. But when I saw it in person for the first time, I couldn't have been more pleased with the final result. The Susuwatari colourway was inspired by Studio Ghibli, and while I'm not well versed in their movies, the warm tones, and retro colours really sung out to me; that's where red accents come from along with the cat novelty. The artisans were from my collection that I felt help add some more depth and matched the overall theme pretty well, and the EMP is just there for fun.
The cable was what I got when I first branched into the world of detachable USB cables, and it was only supposed to be a colour that went well with anything. After a while, I realised just how much I dig the black and gold combo. So in a way it was the cable the sort of sparked the whole build
Well I think that's another one chalked up for the 'endgame', and I can't wait to see what changes might happen with it in the future, just don't go looking for the “/?” key...
The funniest thing about this photo is that Pookie climbed up the plastic stool into the van, went up onto to back seat and then made it over the top of the seat to land in the bedding in the back of the van, after we returned from our camping trip.

Here are pictures of Cosmo the cat taken during the month of March 2023 at home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is approaching his 17th birthday in early May, but last year, the vet noticed all sorts of old cat problems. He has cataracts, is on thyroid medicine and eating wet food - and that makes him very happy. Recently, he had a sore over his right eye. We are watching it and hoping it goes away.
This cat should have been dead 18 years ago.
He was just a kitten the first time we cooked a pig in a pit in the backyard.
It is 19+ years old and was hit by at least 3 cars and bitten by at least one venomous snake.
It is about 90% blind and about 90% deaf. And it meows off-key and at jet engine decibel.
So we gave it a pretend electric blanket and his own wing back chair - a heating pad wrapped in a wool blanket to help him with his sore joints.
I had my Panasonic DMC-ZS6 point & shoot camera on the couch near me. I keep it there just for this purpose. It's not a fancy camera, no RAW files, just straing JPGs. It's got a pretty good Leica Vario-Elmar lens, though.
The best camera is the one you have at hand. I took a couple of shots with my cellphone before stretching to grab this camera. It was worth it. It's much better than a cellphone.
Tigr is very fond of lying on me. She sleeps on me at night and will sleep on my legs while I read during the day. Sometimes she gets on the couch and cries for me to lie down. She's smart. I always give in.

He's an old guy and he sleeps quite soundly. He's one of my four "rescue" cats (of a sort), all inherited when their next-door-neighbor "owner" died. (Nobody ever "owns" a cat.)
We fought a long hard fight but it's time for you to rest.
You picked me that cold January night almost 11 years ago and were so excited you couldn't even meow out loud. You were so skinny I thought you were deformed but it was just somebody dumped you and you were just about at the end of one of your lives. I can't imagine the pain you had from trying to dig and find food with those powder puff paws. If only I could get my hands on whoever beat, declawed and dumped you.....
Bo, you were my constant confidant thru a lot of changes (moving cross country), happy and sad times (getting married, buying a house and moving again, losing mom)...I guess you knew how badly I needed you. I've loved you hard for the past 10 years and 10 months. You got fat and sassy until this past year and you just couldn't watch over me anymore. TC will watch over me now....you taught him well.
Your mama loves you, old man....
RIP

Here are pictures of Cosmo the cat taken during the month of March 2023 at home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He has cataracts, is on thyroid medicine and eating wet food - and that makes him very happy. Recently, he had a sore over his right eye. We are watching it and hoping it goes away.
I didn't give Tigr her time to lie on me when I awoke. She missed that time and walked around crying. I gave her food. That wasn't it. I put her on my lap while I was at the computer. That was good, but still not it.
I had to lie down again and let her come up and settle in for a half hour.
She slept where you see her and was sleeping until I started to take photos. I had a camera just within reach so I didn't have to use my cellphone. I took this just a few minutes ago, but have to use my computer to post it. Yes, Tigr had to vacate her "bed."
LEICA M4-2, SUMMICRON 1:2/50 (V.4 tabbed), Kodak 100TMAX(expired 09/2008), HC110, EPSON 4490, Aperture3.5
our very lovable old cat Milly, she's a cross between a coon cat and a typical English B&W cat with 4 white paws , white belly and front - oh and a white smudge on her nose which gives her a bit of character. NOW 15 1/2 !
Doing his best catloaf. At 26, he can still jump into my lap and then get into the hutch. Otherwise, he's quite sedentary.
Zibby is now around 17 years old. He still keeps himself scrupulously clean and his bib is always bright white. He's just the past couple of months beginning to get the really old cat look bless him and finding eccentric places to park. Here he is in my rather snazzy laptop bag LOL
This is Tigr, my 18 year old cat who I rescued from the street 16 years ago. She was badly injured, but survived minus her tail which was injured so badly that it had to be amputated.
Tigr is extremely affectionate with me, but is afraid of other people and hides as soon as they come into the room. She won't come out until she's sure they're gone.
Tigr loves to sleep on my legs. I often take a nap that way. She'll also sleep on my abdomen because I can cuddle her that way. She looks for my hand if it's not on her. She knows what she wants. I don't mind her lying on me because she's quite small and weighs less than 9 pounds (4 kg).
Tigr looks like a youngster in this photo. She frequently acts like one, too.
Jasmine and Meeko have been ADOPTED!!
Jasmine and Meeko were temporary residents of the oakville humane society in oakville, ontario, canada
Jasmine and Meeko were surrendered to the ODHS when their owner was no longer able to care for them. Because the two have likely been together their whole lives and depend on each other, they must go to a new home together.
At 12 and 14 they only have a couple teeth between the two of them and will need to continue on a diet of soft, palatable food. In order to avoid flare-ups of Upper Respiratory infection, both Jasmine and Meeko are on a L-Lysine suppliment in their food which they should continue on in their new home. They are sweet and reserved, but talkative senior girls who are looking for a quiet home to retire in. Due to Jasmine and Meeko's needs, we would reccommend a home without other animals or small children to ensure their continued comfort and minimized stress level. They must also remain indoor only cats.
please adopt from your local animal shelter. recycled pets are the best!
Beck, my 12-year old tabby, is having trouble with his left eye. A small cherry-red swelling appeared at the inside corner of his eye Friday. Today, it was weeping a bit of blood. I've called the vet; someone should be picking him up shortly. I'll keep you posted.
I could have taken a sharper picture using the flash, but I thought it might cause Beck some distress, so this was taken using ambient light.
