A view from the ancient city of Mdnia in Malta. The city was founded by the Phoenicians in the eighth century.
One of my best friends owned this business at one time. I have spent a lot of time here. Great memories. Happy truck Thursday.
The building is near Leadville, Colorado, the mountains, I believe are in the San Juan Mountain range in Colorado, and the sky is in Ohio. The Colorado shots were taken in 1993 with an Olympus film camera. I combined the pictures in Photoshop, and the texture is from there, also.
This property had some nice old decrepit fencing, a partially collapsed barn and what appears to be a large smoke house.
As the sun sets, a broken windmill stands apart from two companions of the past, all three nearing their end. As we age, there is a wistful remembrance toward those who once were our daily companions but never will be again.
It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been by this spot and as I was in the area I thought I’d see how it was holding up. Sadly it’s starting to deteriorate even more which is a shame as it’s a well known landmark.
Almost as if it's in pain.

The old RR Bridge across the Gila River. Taken from the ruins of what I've been told was an old Stage Coach Station.
