Bottle mouth diameter is 2,6cm.

Hmm, an original title! I might come up with something better later. This collection was too good to miss with the view beyond in the garden. I am beginning to think I have an old bottle fetish!

I took several variations of this and have edited 3 versions, one with the whole window, one cropped lower showing only three panes, but this was the only one that really worked.

For Monday!

Hope your week has started well.

Flypaper processing, I used my old favourite Apple Blush and Brushed Rose.

I took this shot last June in a wonderful junk shop in Ontario. However I have never been able to process it quite the way I wanted. BUT I have now downloaded the free Google NIK collection plug in for Photoshop which has enable me to produce the vintage look I was after. Hope you enjoy my first attempt...

I'm told that a poitin maker lived in this cottage many years ago.

Three is better than one 😊 ..... wishing everyone a good day/evening and thanks so much for your visits

♥ Thanks a lot for your favs and kind reactions!!

I love them both, they are very much appreciated! ♥

My week old tulips making their fond farewell. I willed them to last just a little longer, and not to fall apart while I arranged them in the old Bovril bottles!

9/52 Glass - 2021 Anything Goes

Another take on my old glass bottles, small ones that maybe once held medicinal tinctures! Imperfect, leaning slightly, a broken rim ... it all adds to their charm! This time the morning sunshine through the window gave me so much bokeh ;o)

Happy Bokeh Wednesday!

Shoot it with one of my old glass bottles!

I've spent so much time this month, shooting the crab apple tree and bringing the blossoms indoors to shoot too. I hope I don't overdose you on apple shots for a while, as I pick some out of the many folders. The blossom is fading and the petals are all falling now ... so I have just about finished for the year! ;o)

This shot of the old Golden Girl Cola that was full of caffeine promised to be as refreshing as coffee......patented in 1930 a full ten years before Mountain Dew in 1940. Golden Girl Cola Sun Dropped came out of Missouri.

For this weeks Macro Monday theme-guilty pleasures. The definition of which is: something that one enjoys despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard. I do like little old bottles!! The ribbed one on the left is very special because my grandfather used to have it in his darkroom, used it for chemicals I guess, so that clearly had a message in it for me! Others I've been given, and one or two I've bought mooching around antique stalls-another guilty please of mine!! Some have their uses too, as simple vases for little flowers, or one I use for water when I paint watercolours :)

A bit old, a bit breakable, kinda dark, lives in Alberta, likes to take a photo every now and then.

5/52 Autobiography

A cold winter's day is the perfect time to reach into your bottle collection (and your lensbaby collection) and start shooting.

Found this accidentally going down the wrong road. And no, I didn't put that dress there, it was like that.

Thank you for visiting - ❤ with gratitude! Fave if you like it, add comments below, get beautiful HDR prints at qualityHDR.com.

Today we had nice clouds in the Silicon Valley. I headed to Alviso, hoping the clouds would light up at sunset, but that didn't pan out. I stayed until darkness, and took some bokeh shots across a salt pond. I discovered an abandoned bottle in the mud - perfect!

I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW long exposure - scene is illuminated with the iPhone light.

Old Rum Bottle...

....and a small break from all the pale softness, I made a foray into the basement this morning.

Processed with a couple of upcoming flypapers (out in the next few days) and an old one :-)

Happy Friday everyone!

Edited to say that the new Flypaper Fly Edges pack is out now, so pop over the the Flypaper Blog and take a look!

These small bottles are excavated in Leeuwarden, this year cultural capital, ( A place in he north of the Netherlands) for the construction of an underground garage. They have long kept in the ground with other metals. That’s why they have these special colours. The size of the bottles are less than 2”.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

Taken the day following the previous shot as the lighting setup was still rigged up. The main light was a daylight spotlight which was powerful enough to light up the whole area of my kitchen table. The blue colours are a row of old glass bottles bought in a job lot off ebay and the gold colour is the back of a pine kitchen chair. I shone a small LED torch across the top of the seed head which I had saved from the summer along with the fiigree pattern leaf i had found a year ago pressed into mud on walk around Colwick Woods...Won't win any prizes but I enjoyed being in the warm on a cold wet day...

An old jagged mouthed bottle with the sun shining through it - I love the aqua marine colours in this old bubble filled glass.

Yet another lockdown light painted still life (lit with hand held torch/flashlight). I love doing these but do hope I can soon get out further afield and shoot some landscapes; urban details/architecture....anything that isn't just in my garden or garage!!

Colour - just a smidgen!

Looking for something quite different in a 'bottle box' and came across this rather nice 4" high fruit juice bottle.

With two lines of molding on one side:

EIFFEL TOWER - FRUIT JUICES

and two on the other

FOSTER CLARK &Co - MAIDSTONE

The bottle was probably made between 1900 and 1910 and contained crystals about 3mm in size . Had to use boiling water to desolve and nothing quick to make up an intense lemon flavoured drink.

Maidstone is in Kent, England..

Photographed on a piece of black velour material using just a desk lamp for illumination.

Taken on the deck! I thought I'd cut some of my hydrangea's, and put them in vases on the deck, instead of not being able to see them, where they are planted.
