Three years in sneakers

Although many of Hawksmoor's buildings give me the willies, they hold me in complete fascination. The imagination that produced this formidable looking building really took his thinking beyond the Baroque way of building, it was if it was set in the future.

Greg Brown is a painter and native of Palo Alto, California, best known for his trompe l'oeil murals in the San Francisco Bay area. He sprang into national prominence with his "Pedestrian series of 1976." The project included 9 trompe l'oeil figures/vignettes sprinkled throughout the downtown area of Palo Alto, California. This experience spawned a love affair with walls that continues to this day.

This is an illustration I remade for my friend Mike.

It is one of my favorite pieces. This is a recreation of the original piece I made, because that one was destroyed in an accident involving a roommate.

It is a very image-saturated and involving illustration. I can look at it for hours.

The title of this piece is from the date I finished it: April 20th. Fun, huh?

This is printer-safe and makes a wonderful print.

The largest print I've made of this illustration is about 24 inches by 30 inches, or thereabouts.
