A friend of a friend's place for the summer, deep in the woods, right on the beach and surrounded by pure beauty.
As you can see, this trailer was originally built as a mobile diesel engine repair facility. The huge I-beam track on top was used to hoist broken engines of 18-wheelers stranded on remote stretches of CA desert highway. This thing was "overbuilt" with an interior steel cage that could probably withstand the impact of a rogue asteroid... and, at the very least, it could easily support 9 solar panels on top.
Lush Gelato used one of North Berkeley's "Off The Grid" trucks tonight ... and I got to take pictures of happy people!
On February 1, 2013 Jaz Davis demonstrated the use of an airbrush across multiple platforms as a Customizer-in-Residence during Friday Nights at Oakland Museum of California featuring Off the Grid.
