It was a cool day of January ! I've pre planned to visit SER once more as it's full of offlinks everywhere ! I've also chosen Sankrail (SEL) for its MPS & location (Post CC link bifurcates from Andul). As a tiger face WAG 7 led by full coal loaded BOXN rake passed towards Andul ! It was the time for a Flat faced WAG 7 #27096 of Kanpur (CNB), North Central Railway just emerged out with a CONCOR consist & thrashed PF 1 at its maximum ! Enjoy the roller coaster show.. :)

12313 Sealdah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express turns out of Rajchandrapur (RCD) side & enters Dankuni (DKAE) station on rural Bengal at moderate speed to continue its journey towards its first stoppage Durgapur (DGR). Train was running bang on time & the loco link was Ghaziabad (GZB) #30210 WAP 7 !
More about Rajdhani Express : The Rajdhani Express is a series of express passenger train services in India operated by Indian Railways connecting New Delhi with other important destinations (Mostly capital cities of other states). Rajdhani means 'The Capital' in many Indian languages. The Rajdhanis are among the fastest trains in India along with Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express and get the highest priority on the Indian railway network. Rajdhani Express first introduced in 1969. Rajdhani express get highest priority on the Indian railway network. They are fully air-conditioned. Passengers are served complimentary meals during the journey. Depending on the duration and timings of the journey, these could include morning tea, breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. All Rajdhani Express trains offer three classes of accommodation: AC First Class, AC 2-tier, and AC 3-tier. Currently there are 22 pairs of trains, connecting New Delhi to important cities across the country. These trains have fewer stops than other express trains and halt only at prominent stations. The Sealdah Rajdhani Express connects Sealdah (Kolkata) and Delhi. It is the second fastest train after Sealdah-New Delhi Duronto Express on the Sealdah-Delhi sector. It operates as train number 12313 from Sealdah (Kolkata) to New Delhi Railway Station and as train number 12314 in the reverse direction. The train is regularly hauled by a WAP 7 locomotive. Sometimes WAP 4 locomotives can be seen as an offlink.

The second 'turd in the pool' of the trip: Abu Road WDG4D 70491 at Hanumangarh Junction with the 14:25 Passenger Special (04767) to Shri Ganganagar. I'd done remarkably well to have only had two of the rancid things in 18 days, so shouldn't complain too much, although this heralded the beginning of a pretty crap 30 hour period of bowl outs. Monday 19th March 2018.
I will always try to give an engine a fair listen but this thing was as pathetically dull sounding as the rest of its bretheren, despite pumping out 4500 hp - washing machines on full spin are louder, with more character.
All dolled up and formed of a six Sleeper coach offlink scratch set due to the recasting of the Shri Ganganagar - Hanumangarh - Sadulpur timetable that weekend, including some new services that this loco and stock must have worked. I wasn't aware of the timetable alterations until I stumbled into them, and as if having an EMD wasn't bad enough, they'd cancelled some of my planned move resulting in me now still needing the 15.3 kms of track from Banwali to SGNR! Grrr.
