The Father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi in his autobiography wrote Hindi alone could be the lingua franca of India. Hindi is the mother tongue of more than 43.63% of the total population of our country. As per Article 343 of our Indian Constitution, Hindi is recognised as an official language along with English.Currently, Hindi is the fastest growing language in India and is also the third most spoken language in the world with 615 million speakers after English and Mandarin.
