Another shot from Free Photo Shoot #1 a few weeks ago. We hit up Goodwill and picked this old typewriter up for $6.99. It's still sitting on my table which reminds me I need to go and re-donate it. I hooked Nick up with some stale office atire and we got shooting. I set up a 13ft seemless in my garage and we built this little mini set. SUPER FUN! Had some beers and shot away.

My Workspace uses a vintage desk that my grandmother used all the years she worked as a secretary. It's been redone in a gorgeous mint green with succulents decorating the space as well as art from various artist friend's of mine.

OK I made that up, and it's a terrible joke. But for some reason when I was trying to think of something to say about this shot that was all I came up with. It was so stupid that I'm still laughing about it a little on the inside. I came across this rusty outlet on a bike ride today. The title is a quote from the movie Office Space. If you've seen the movie the title's funny, if not you probably think I'm an idiot.
Basil has a real hard day job: keeping critters from eating our vegetables, monitoring the bird feeder so that nothing goes awry, keeping the neighbors' chihuahuas in check, and making sure that no armed robbers enter our yard. It is a tough day at work!

Firstly - special thanks to My Imaginary World for seeding this idea! She actually came up with the film as it's one of her fave's (with good reason!) as well as the series. Her name was in one of these post-It's but I think it got lost...sorry!

I edited the picture again as I was not happy with the first result. The file size of the XT50 is so large that you need to be more careful with the edit. Early days as they say.
My 99.8% complete office/studio space. It's a quaint lil' 10'x9' room, but i LOVE IT and it's all mine! I still have more organizing to do, and a few more blank spaces on the walls to fill.

An executive office space inside the former Globe and Mail Headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Globe and Mail moved to a new building in December of 2016 and this one did not sit for very long since the demolition process began just a couple of months later.
I went into this location hoping to find dust covered printing presses, unfortunately there were none. I later found out that although the printing of the newspaper did happen here at one point in time, that was no longer the case and had not been for many years.
It was still an interesting location to return to a few years after my first visit, while it was still buzzing with with excitement.
