Copycatting this image by our wonderful Randy Mick. And a Happy Sliders Sunday to all as well!
Old photo of Burrard Inlet -- cloned out the container ships and sailboats. Used the "warp" function of "transform" to mimic Randy's fisheye effect.
Arranged "desk" elements on the dining room table and did the old 10-second timer run.
Borrowed a big old desk from the Internet. Used the "skew" function of "transform" to get it into the right angle. Erased portions of the dining room table so it fit as the desk top.
Borrowed something called an "inflatable individual fishing belly boat" (I swear I'm not making that up) for the pontoon. Erased everything except one pontoon, chopped it in half, moved the halves apart, and filled in the middle (I needed it longer). Duplicated the layer, used transform to make it smaller for the back pontoon. Submerged them both by erasing at 50%.
Burned a bit of a shadow on the water layer.
Hmmm...I think that's about it.

Panorama Tower is a mixed-use 82-story skyscraper situated in Miami, Florida, United States. It is located in the Brickell district of Downtown Miami. It was originally approved by the City of Miami and the Federal Aviation Administration in 2006 but was put on hold due to the Great Recession. The project was revived in 2012 when owner Tibor Hollo hired Moshe Cosicher, AIA Architect, to redesign the project.
In 2013, the project was revised; the 868-foot (265 m) tower is stated to include residential, hotel, retail, and office space. When completed, it will be the tallest building in Miami, but may soon thereafter be overtaken by various other towers, including two of their own projects (The Towers by Foster + Partners and One Bayfront Plaza). It took over the Four Seasons Hotel Miami as tallest when it topped out in late 2017. The project is the first development in the City of Miami to be funded in part by EB-5 visas. While the entire site was technically addressed 1101 Brickell Avenue, the building will actually be located on the back of the lot, behind two existing office buildings, at 1100 Brickell Bay Drive. It will be about two blocks from the Tenth Street Metromover station.

City National Bank announced Tuesday it had sold its former downtown headquarters to developer Moishe Mana for $25 million.
The 12-story building at 25 West Flagler Street spans 166,817 square feet. The developer paid about $150 per square foot.
The building will be gutted and renovated to serve the legal community, Mana said. Given the building is steps from the Miami-Dade County Courthouse, Mana said, “The idea is to give them shared office space and a place where they can stay and sleep. It is an interesting concept that we are working on.”
His vision for the historic building, originally constructed in 1955, will take a few years to be realized, he said. “The next step is getting the team to come up with a good vision and finances. It will take a few years to design the interior and permitting.”
Mana has invested millions in the downtown district, in addition to other holdings across Miami-Dade County. He has spent more than $350 million alone to buy over 50 properties in the downtown core, making him the single largest landowner in downtown Miami. He has plans to redevelop the Flagler District with the Mana Common project, a tech- and start-up-driven enclave which recently broke ground.
“Moishe Mana is one of a handful of real estate developers who are spearheading the revitalization of Flagler Street, which has been Downtown Miami’s historic main street dating back a century,” Christina Crespi, Deputy Director of the Miami Downtown Development Authority, said in a statement. “The new investment pouring into the Flagler District is being driven by a fast-growing residential population in our Central Business District, record-setting tourism activity in our urban core, and the upcoming redesign of the Flagler Streetscape set to begin 2020.”
City National, meanwhile, said the transaction is part of its plan to invest in talent, technology, and cybersecurity. CNB’s team is now spread across Coral Gables, downtown, and Brickell. CNB will continue to have a banking center on Flagler Street.
“Building Florida’s iconic bank begins with our people, and attracting and retaining the top talent in the market means offering our team a best-in-class workplace,” City National Bank President & CEO Jorge Gonzalez said in a statement. “Our modern offices in Downtown, Coral Gables and Brickell will provide our employees an environment that promotes collaboration and innovation, with state-of-the-art technology in a modern workplace — resulting in an even better experience for our clients.”

Seattle's concrete jungle has some beautiful little courtyards. This one, found just South of the downtown Seattle Public Library, is spacious and quiet, yet I rarely see people relaxing there.
When the Central Bloomington Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, nine buildings were listed on the west side of the 500 block of N. Main St., and seven of the nine were listed as contributing properties for their architectural significance. Today only two of the original nine buildings remain. The historic name for both buildings is A. T. Fagerburg Paint Co. Fagerburg relocated his paint business to 514 N. Main St. around 1890. It is not known when the business expended into the building on the right at 516 N. Main St.
Both buildings appear today as being mixed use with businesses on the ground floor and apartments above. to be mixed use for retail and residential use. The ground floor of 514 N. Main is now Arrived Men's Salon, and at 516 N. Main is The Common Ground, a locally-owned natural and organic foods grocery.
A. T. Fagerburg was born in Bloomington in 1866. He learned the painting trade as an apprentice for the Chicago and Alton Railroad. After he became a master painter at he worked for the Rock Island and Chicago & Northwestern Railroads. At the age of 20 he opened up his first paint store in Bloomington. Four years later he moved his business into the building shown here on the left at 514 N. Main St.
In the early days of the business he followed the then-current practice of grinding his own paints. He also supplied painters and paperhangers and, at one time, employed between 35 and 40 men. Later, he dropped the contracting phase of the business to concentrate on the store.
Fagerburg remained active in the business until the late 1940s when he suffered a stroke. He died at his Bloomington residence in 1953, but the business continued under family ownership until 1970.
Bloomington is the seat of McLean County. It is adjacent to Normal, and is the more populous of the two principal municipalities of the Bloomington-Normal metropolitan area. Bloomington is 135 miles (217 km) southwest of Chicago, and 162 miles (261 km) northeast of St. Louis. The estimated population of Bloomington in 2019 was 77,330, with a metro population of 191,067.

The architectural and territorial ‘post-production’ of structures, buildings and industrial complexes that have fallen into disuse has been one of the greatest challenges for public administrations throughout Europe and North America, as well as a focus of attention for architects and urban planners in recent decades. From Detroit to the Ruhr Valley in Germany, adapting these infrastructures is one of the main challenges in contemporary landscapes.
We're Here theme Office Spcae,
Take a picture of your office space! I admit to tidying my space before taking a pic. When I was processing this pic I couldn't resist taking a photo of it pulled up on my computer.

one of the funniest ideas for a shoot i've had yet (ideas don't come often, so this was a rarity!) i had a few hours free between "to-do's", so bryce & i figured out what to write on all the post-its, taped them all up, then i shot! (.... ok, actually this is a RESHOOT after the original... needed a fish-eye lens to really get the job done.)
model:: bryce, of course. my favorite cowboy / little brother / willing model!
for my fellow iadt shooters.... both paul & pierre & giles agreed on this shot... i swear i heard a rip in the space-time continuum, i saw the flying pigs and i felt hell freezing over. lol :)
canon 5d, 15mm fisheye, mixed lighting (strobe & the almighty flourescent).
fisheye lens meant i was actually about 1 foot from his face when i shot this! i kept getting my legs in frame, the light heads & random people walking by... funny!
(Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as my personal favorite.)
Spent all of yesterday/last night cleaning and reorganizing my home office. This is what it looked like 2 years ago.Thought I'd take new pics with natural light and a better camera ;)
Classic red Swingline stapler on the counter at Costco. Milton from Office Space would love to have this!
I spend a lot of time here, a lot of it photography and/or Flickr related, but also Zoom, emails, and other tasks to make me feel productive. For We're Here! who are looking at Office Spaces and also my POTD.

Another tribute to Milton, the poor mumbling and maligned outsider from the movie Office Space.

Driving home Tuesday evening, I came across an office
renovation.... still under way. Someone is working late tonight!
Maybe a few 'someones'.
It was the warm inside lighting burning brightly against the
gathering overcast and deepening twilight... the arched windows...
and the 'meant to look old' architectural details that compelled
me to pull over and spend some time shooting. C'mon... you know
what I mean. You see the shot from the car... and you HAVE to go
around the block and find a place to park... run out to the street,
hope the light is still as good as the moment you first passed by!
Tonight I got lucky... it was. =)
Looks like nice space. Expensive space no doubt... but nice space.

Here is where Is the workspace for jofalltrades.com. It's a pretty comfortable space. Took years of blood, sweat and tears to get this office. But I finally have 2/3 of it done :) I love the wall of windows it opens up the space making it less claustrophobic than a cubicle. The Captain chair makes working late hours easy since it has arch support and is ergonomic.
