I love that the wallpaper on my laptop in this photo is actually the previous photo in my flickr stream.

You'll note the lack of natural light in here. This is because the only windows led into an internal corridor. I say "corridor" but that doesn't do it justice - it was an office created in the old warehousing half of the block, opposite the server cage.
I'm reliably informed that there is a ball pit located here, the premises having been turned over to a Jungle Gym kinda facility.

I thought I would start out the next 500 pictures with a load of color. Very well applied color, I might add.
Here, I feel, one gets a good feel for how the architects came to chose the forms they did. It is a positive continuation of the negative forms already found in the neighboring building, the 'Bundesverband d. Deutschen Industrie' by HG Winkler, 1968-71.
Certainly one way to respond to context, anyway.
all of the glass fins are moveable and can open and close....I am just not sure who controls that (user or computer).

After our year-long circumnavacation, we settled down in Durham, NC for my two-year masters degree. I am very excited and happy to be pursuing something that satisfies me intellectually in a great environment. Durham is definitely on the smaller side of cities and towns, but we are still enjoying the process of exploring and learning about our new home.
The photo I took is of Belinda, from the Hannibal Regional Hospital, giving an informational presentation. During this PowerPoint she shows Mark Twain High School girls the importance of the early detection of breast cancer and self awareness. This helps promote a healthy lifestyle because it increases your chances of surviving. Only 64,640 women will be diagnosed with the earliest stage of breast cancer. We can change this by informing young girls to get themselves screened regularly.
This modular is inspired by New York, and houses the Black Velvet Cafe on the ground floor and an accountants office upstairs.

I literally work in one area that is not only my office and work bench, but also the server room and the IT supply storage area. With a work area like this, is it any wonder I feel stressed at work!?!
