The high-level event "Preventing Sexual Violence and Gender-based Crimes in Conflict and Securing Justice for Survivors" on 25 September 2012 was hosted by the United Kingdom, UN Women, the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) on Sexual Violence in Conflict, and the International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict. Together, they called on world leaders for stronger actions to secure justice for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence and gender-based crimes.

The CCTV Headquarters is a 234-metre, 44-story skyscraper on East Third Ring Road, Guanghua Road in the Beijing Central Business District. The tower serves as headquarters for China Central Television (CCTV). The headquarters was completed in May 2012.The CCTV Headquarters won the 2013 Best Tall Building Worldwide from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren of OMA were the architects in charge for the building, while Cecil Balmond at Arup provided the complex engineering design.
D J Clark worked in the building as a consultant to CCTV News (Now CGTN) in setting up a multimedia department in 2014 and 2015 Beijing, China, 17/02/2015
George's Funhouse, or better known as the American Enka Company. This massive facility was most of our day as it took close to five hours, and that's just the exterior and the inside of one of two surviving buildings on site.

You'll note the lack of natural light in here. This is because the only windows led into an internal corridor. I say "corridor" but that doesn't do it justice - it was an office created in the old warehousing half of the block, opposite the server cage.
I'm reliably informed that there is a ball pit located here, the premises having been turned over to a Jungle Gym kinda facility.

I thought I would start out the next 500 pictures with a load of color. Very well applied color, I might add.
Here, I feel, one gets a good feel for how the architects came to chose the forms they did. It is a positive continuation of the negative forms already found in the neighboring building, the 'Bundesverband d. Deutschen Industrie' by HG Winkler, 1968-71.
Certainly one way to respond to context, anyway.
