May father Ray Lowde (Dr. Raymond Douglas Lowde/ Dr. R.D. Lowde) had an office here in the sixties and seventies (he had three on the campus).
My mother Penny may be seen beside the front facade wall, holding baby me (there is an inky C shape beside her head in the original photograph, a photo blemish blot which has been removed).
The car park is lines with the dark Harwell cars (Daimlers).
The white-trimmed building on the left looks like a technology-inspired 70's structure, while the brick fortress on the right is reminiscent of 80's inward isolation.
This little building is open to offers. It's a pity it is for business use, I think it would make for an interesting place to live!

Former Offices for the South Dock, Isle of Dogs, built 1927-1929. Behind is Pierhead Lock, designed by Goddard Manton Partnership and completed in 1997 at the entrance to the South Docks.
Lupión y Guadalimar son dos pequeños pueblos de la provincia de Jaén pero muy grandes de corazón; están situados entre las comarcas de La Loma y Las Villas, rodeados por un inmenso mar de olivos y escoltados por los rÃos Guadalquivir y Guadalimar.
Su gente es entrañable, generosa y acogedora y hacen que te sientas cuando estás con ellos como en tu propia casa, buen ejemplo de ello son también su Alcalde Gonzalo Manuel Rus, la Concejal de Juventud y CiudadanÃa Gloria Rus y Jeanine Parrilla, Concejal de Cultura y Deporte.
Todos ellos forman una familia muy unida que saben estar al dÃa, aprovechando al máximo sus recursos y disfrutar de unas estupendas instalaciones tanto en el EUM Amalia RamÃrez de Lupión como en el Centro Guadalinfo de Guadalimar, donde todos tienen la oportunidad de formarse y aprender las nuevas tecnologÃas en el mundo de la informática, asistir a interesantes conferencias y gran variedad de talleres formativos como Primeros Auxilios, teatros etc.
Pero sobre todo son gente comprometida y solidaria que saben dar lo mejor de ellos mismos por los demás, y en estas fechas tan entrañables de Navidad han querido todos aportar su granito de arena a la Asociación PÃdeme la Luna para que nuestros niños de Onco-HematologÃa del Hospital Infantil de Jaén sigan cumpliendo todos sus sueños, siendo el más inmediato viajar a Madrid para asistir al Musical El Rey León.
Para ello, el Ayuntamiento ha organizado el I MERCADILLO SOLIDARIO donde todos han colaborado donando gran variedad de artÃculos: juguetes, libros, peluches, papelerÃa etc. y unos riquÃsimos productos artesanales elaborados con sus propias manos, cuya recaudación Ãntegra ha sido destinada a la Asociación PÃdeme la Luna.
Queremos agradecer de todo corazón tan bonita iniciativa a toda la gente de Lupión y Guadalimar y al Exmo. Ayto. y toda su corporación municipal este gesto que los engrandece.
