Looking apprehensive!
Another Tuesday night game so I had to get a shot while I was at the match. Rather than going for another action shot, I opted for a portrait of the manager. It was 1-1 at this point hence the look on his face. He looked less worried at full-time when it finished 3-1 to his team.

October Photo a Day: 11 October
My only regret about today's theme is that it's no longer summer here, because I would have very happily gone dragonfly hunting. They're my favorite bug to chase and photograph, and they look amazing up close. Sadly, we're well beyond the days of dragonflies here, so I had to settle for something else. My first plan was to photograph a flower that's still blooming on my balcony, despite the nights recently when we've had hard freezes (these flowers also survived the terrible drought and heat wave we had all summer long). One of the shots came out all right, but I just wasn't happy with it. Then I noticed this maple leaf. It was a much better subject, so this is what I present to you for something close up.
The mosaic couldn't fit in all 30 photos, so I dropped my entry for "made me smile today." But all the others are here!
