After climbing past the otherworldly potash mining operation below Canyonlands, we arrived at the site made famous for Gina Davis and Susan Sarandon driving a Ford Thunderbird off the cliffs.

We skipped the cliff jump part for obvious reasons but the views are worth going all by themselves. This section is also where the road gets more interesting. Switchbacks get tighter both while dropping down from the cliffs seen here and much more so as the road scales back up the wall to arrive back at the cliff tops by the Canyonlands Island in the Sky visitor center.

While tame compared to many Moab trails, this is a gorgeous drive that very few take. Far more rewarding than staying on the park’s paved roads. Worth noting, this gave us a chance to test out Octa Mode's "6D suspension" in washboard, sand, slickrock, and more -- really amazing at how smoothing out the ride.

My sister-in-law, Laura, has been living with us in the UK since the start of the lockdown. As a professional triathlete trying to train every day, she's having to make do with putting her bike on a trainer in our garage but she's longing to get out and about properly when the restrictions are over. Even an upgrade from our dumping ground of a garage to this tidy loft would be welcome!

Recorded some video to go wth this in an attempt to make a tutorial for Mr J Page's highly informative site <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/jasondpagelightpainting/"Light Painting Photography.com.

The footage is currently being edited together, hopefully it will make some sense.

My first time with Annika. The photo was taken in an old monastery in Germany called Kloster Arnsberg near Lich in Hesse.

I used a single light from the right and the sun from left behind. This was also my first time with the Rotalux Deep Octa from Elinchrom. The light which comes out there is simply magical!

Thank you very much for visiting and have a great day out there!
