Class 053 conducted their second OCS Phase II drill October 14-16 at Camp Fretterd Military Reservation. Class 053 combines candidates from Maryland and the District of Columbia, working to earn commissions as Second Lieutenants in the Army National Guard.

Maj. Gen. James Adkins presented the awards earned during OCS to the officer candidates. The awards included - Physical Fitness, Academic Excellence, Peer Award, Honor Graduate and Distinguished Honor Graduate.
