The hope of a Rainbow as the sunrises and rains start to fall, i am never content maybe ?

Taken a few weeks ago .

Ochrwyth

Ochrwyth ~ the weather forecast gave me a small window of opportunity i have not been out of the house for 2 days due to some chronic pain issues so i needed some air and a fix , i was not let down , for the 1st time since the lockdown i drove about half a mile to park up and walk the short distance . Glad the car was parked in the woodland in the foreground as it sure did rain after i too this shot .

From Ochrwyth to Machen to Home the sunrise was no better or worse than previous attempts so changed to the macro lens , one day i will get some clouds at a certain tree for sunrise . `staying local now for 2 months is proving challenging for locations , i need the coast .

When you sit down on a tree stump and realise its covered in nettles. ~ OUCH !!!!

This RUDC drain cover is just outside the entrance to the cemetery; all drain covers inside the cemetery were provided by WA Baker of Newport.

Risca Urban District Council was established in 1894. The RUDC covered the Parish of Risca (the villages of Risca, Pontymister,Crosskeys and Pontywaun) together with parts of Upper and Lower

Machen, from the river to the top of Mynydd Machen, including Ochrwyth,

Dan y Graig, and Sugar Loaf, Risca Blackvein Colliery and houses and the

Full Moon area. It was abolished in 1974, becoming part of the new borough of Islwyn. Today it comes under Caerphilly County Borough Council.

RDCs and UDCs were established under the Local Government Act of 1894. They replaced the earlier urban and rural sanitary districts and were given wider areas of responsibility such as parks and cemeteries. In 1929 some were abolished and merged with other rural and urban district councils. All UDCs and RDCs were abolished in 1974, replaced by larger district councils. Today, the area is administered by Caerphilly County Borough Council.
