The Beauport Hotel in Gloucester sits right on Pavilion Beach in downtown Gloucester. The view from the outside restaurant terrace is amazing and very calming. If you look to the left you can see Ten Pound Island Lighthouse in the distance. A great spot to take it all in! That seat right there is mine, 😉.

One of my favorite places to do antique shopping is in an old house that has been converted into a shop.. when I walk into homes/shops like that, I immediately look around with such curiosity wondering what stories that home has to tell....I came across this Antiques sign at N21 last week and the Scarlet Creative Magicae house immediately popped into mind....I absolutely love the beach fence by [keke] and the stringed garden lights as well...they go perfectly with this scene...hope you enjoy it....

This was the "pineapple burger" view from the other day of Soldiers Beach itself. Classic Central Coast views; big sky, rolling surf, and sand dunes wandering off on their own adventure.

From up here you really get a feel for how much space there is along this beach: the rock shelves, the long sweep of sand, and that endless blue sky. And just around the headland at the southern end of the beach is my fave Pelican Beach in the national park and an unspoilt 9km stretch of sand and ocean.

Take a pause, and breath in deeply the salty ocean air.

Thought for today ...... Whose idea was it to put an "s" in "lisp"? !

Bora Bora is a small South Pacific island northwest of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Surrounded by sand-fringed motus (islets) and a turquoise lagoon protected by a coral reef, it’s known for its scuba diving. It's also a popular luxury resort destination where some guest bungalows are perched over the water on stilts.

Looking south-east towards the Manly Surf Beach.

Photographed near sunset, on one of my expeditions to Manly, Queenscliff, Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach. It takes about 40 minutes to drive to the coast from my home in northwestern Sydney, and I sometimes do this on summer evenings after work, when it remains light until after 9.00pm.

So you walk along the beach, or, if you prefer, the coastal walkway beneath the Norfolk Pine trees, from Queenscliff to Manly, and then, if you are adventurous, around the coast to Shelly Beach via Fairy Bower.

And, on the return walk, there are many places to eat along Manly Beach, notably Kazzi's Greek Restaurant, right opposite the Manly Surf School. Great for salads with olives & feta cheese, whilst watching the surf action.

Processed in Adobe Lightroom.

Taken with f/5.6 and 1/2500 seconds at a focal length of 100 mm and at 100 ISO, i.e. quite ordinary settings. However, I almost put the camera in the damp sand and focused on the immediate vicinity before the next surf wave arrived. This led to a strong bokeh effect. This is another way to bring in blur besides ICM.

Here's another quick shot with a tanker just off to our starboard side.

I could stand and stare at this remarkable sky-painting by God,all day, but I have to actually be on time for something. LOL

Someday, I'll tell you about how often I am first to get back, or get on board. LOL

A 'corridor' separated each rectangular room on both sides of the building. It was hard to make out just what the flats would be like if finished. Was I standing in a bedroom? In another universe was someone sleeping in this space?

We'd never know.
