Sunrise over the pacific ocean on the way to Oahu, Hawaii

Life is SO good here. Today I peddled the Harborwalk Trail from Bug Light to Back Cove and back. It was a fun ride filled with wonderful sights, sounds, and smells.

This train was just before I got to Eastern Prom. There were some really cool cabooses and other cars but they weren't in front of decent backgrounds :(

These workers in neck-to-toes hazmat suits, walked up and down the beach, bent over, picking up tiny balls of jelly-like oil, which they deposited in big plastic bags they dragged behind them.

Richard Hawley "The Ocean"</

Many marine organisms, including marine mammals, sea turtles, fish and invertebrates, rely on sound and hearing for their survival. Over the last century, increases in human activity within our ocean have led to increasing levels of noise. This increasing amount of noise from human sources is a rising concern for the health and well-being of marine organisms and ecosystems. The tail of the whale named Gemini.

It is a special experience to observe whales so close.

During the trip told a passionate expert on individual whales. It was an impressive boat trip.
