In April of 2019 I participated in my second Paris to Ancastor bike race. This time on the singlespeed. A few weeks after the race I would hop on the bike for a leisure wknd ride and discover that over the 70km course I would slip the bottom bracket and wear through the chain stay thus cracking the frame. I took my time in sourcing a fix but was lucky enough to find a local childhood friend willing to take on the project of fixing the frame. Done. Now cue the parts shortage and the wait time involved and you have someone jones'n to get this thing on singletrack again.
It's a hodgepodge of parts, and it's certainly oldschool technology but it's still the favourite bike in the stable.
Looking forward to the first ride in the coming days...
