Outside Broadcast – Starbucks Barista Championship
This week we were asked by our good friend Victoria Cairns at Ink & Air Productions to film and on-site edit the “Starbucks EMEA Leadership Experience,” which also included the “Starbucks Barista Championship 2016.” This event, which is held annually, involves keynote speakers, as well as Starbucks employee’s competing head-to-head to find and recognise the best Barista’s in EMEA Region!
Before the event, under the creative direction of Ink & Air Productions, we filmed and produced two interview-led pieces telling stories of great customer service within Starbucks. These were shot at Tobacco Dock the day before the event and edited overnight for play out.
During the event, through the use of three roving cameras and two on-site editors we were able to film, ingest and edit live on set to create a number of highlights films. This included social media cuts which Starbucks released through their app over the course of the three day event!
Although it was a big job, the crew were kept well energised throughout with copious amounts of the good stuff…

Yamal Region TV uses AEQ Intercom System to cover the Russian Men's Volleyball Championship.
All communications from the mobile unit, that was built for the broadcasting company and television production system, are centralized in an AEQ CrossNET matrix and TP8116 user panels.
