Observation dome Silver Planet brings up the rear of the California Zephyr on this day in 1967 as it passes the silhouette of a sycamore tree bordering the west edge of Union Square Park. The tracks here run down the middle of Union Street adjacent to the park before the street peters out just beyond East Scotts Avenue. The tracks run about half a block more before crossing over the AT&SF diamond at Stockton Tower.
My Winner of the regional "Best Digital Model Passenger Wagon" category from the 2022 Brick Train Awards! I'm feeling pretty good about that as there were so many incredible builds entered this year!
This former CB&Q dome observation car from the California Zephyr sits in the desert sun at the Maricopa, AZ Amtrak station. The Sunset Limited stops here every other day.

During the Florida East Coast Railway Society 2008 Convention in Miami, there was a Bus Trip on September 27, 2008 to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami. The GCRRM is located at 12450 South West 152nd Street, next to the Miami Zoo. All of the FECRS Members, who attended the Convention Bus Trip, were given a CAB Ride on the FEC E8A, which Railfans affectionately refer to as a Covered Wagon.
This photo shows a Side View of the California Zephyr Observation Car, which also features an small Observation Dome on the roof. This Photo shows Former Western Pacific Railroad Vista-Dome "Silver Crescent" Number 881, which was donated to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum by the Liquid Sugars Company. The are several members of the Florida East Coast Railway Society the right side of the photo.

Part of an eBay job lot. A Transcontinental Dome Car. It is from the later run of Tri-Ang TC models than the ones that I have been collecting but it will certainly be kept. It was listed as a dummy loco, which might explain why I was able to get the job lot so cheaply. The coupling at the round end needs replacing.
