When I first saw a picture of the Jungle Dragon from LEGO set 71746 I thought it resembled a Varactyl from Star Wars. Especially it’s pose is striking! I started out with the design of the Jungle Dragon and kept on modifying until it looked like the Varactyl called Boga. She was the mount of Obi-Wan Kenobi during the chase of general Grievous in Episode III.

Han Solo and Obi-Wan Kenobi we're having a fun times on the Mos Eisley's Cantina. Unfortunately, it's a dangerous place for a newbies like us, but we do all know that these two have been here before. Greedo is still lurking in the shadows, waiting like a snake...

I can't help it, but I'm finding myself playing with old photo sessions, instead of taking new pics. This is yet another new edit of the old scene, which we're titled as "We're Doomed!" from 2014. It has all the same key elements as it's predecessor, but in my opinion, the actual moment differs a bit. It is a kind of fascinating to compare these two now, as they both are from different era's.

My newest LEGO MOC from @disneyplus @obiwankenobi show. Haven’t built in a while and especially haven’t built Star Wars so it was fun to come back to the theme. Even though the setting for the duel is quite boring I tried to make it as interesting with adding the sand blue as well as using some weird pieces for the rockwork. Can’t wait to build some more Star Wars, what do you all think of the MOC. Cya soon and keep bricking! #lego #starwars #legostarwars #obiwankenobi #darthvader #legocreation

So.. I forgot that I didn’t upload this one here yet and decided, what the heck, now is better than never. Like with the others including CAC minifigs, this was the last of four builds I did as a special project with the good folks at Beyond The Brick.

This last one was slightly more challenging than the previous ones, mostly due to wanting the landscape be captured as best as possible not only in regards to shaping and style, but also color. Like the other builds I’ve done, the build has a black border at the bottom which serves as a structural support to the build, but also helping capture the colors. I additionally added some elements of the terrain spilling over to give it some extra detail. I think it’s one of my favorite parts of the build. Speaking of favorite parts, Sand Red is one of the coolest colors and I opted to use some in this build. The results I think speak for themselves. Not too much and not too little. Overall this build was a fun project just like the others and a good way to map out future ways at building Utapau.

If you want to see more on how this came together, you can find two videos on my YouTube showing the build and how it was built.

Thank you to all who’ve helped support these builds I’ve done in the past few months. I promise you, more is on the way and that includes some different and new things other than Star Wars. It’s just my main jam and when the motivation is there, it’s hard to switch to something else.

To kick off the new year I decided to go with a Star Wars figure to commemorate Carrie Fisher's death (RIP) and because I finally got around to watching every episode (including the story reels). I felt the original figure was a bit lack luster and the printing was faded in some parts so I updated the paint job, painted a new light saber, added the arm guards (there's a little communicator on the other arm) and added some boots. Simple enough but love it nonetheless. Happy new year! Here'a to another year of customizing!

This is my entire (with the exception of 3 plastic ships and an Airfix model of Anakin's podracer) collection of SW stuff.

I fed the images into Autostitch, but it distorted the bottom of the image too much, so I did this. I know it's not perfect, but it gets the job done.

This includes all my posters, books, magazines, figures, ships, cards, records, videos, DVDs, CDs, toys and anything else that is SW-related.

It took a while, and I had to clear off everything else that was in the way, and I could barely move around in the space that was left.

I've added notes to mention most of the stuff. Things that there are a lot of (figures, books, etc) I've left out.

Also, please check out the full size (9999 x 5663) version to get a better look at everything.

Following a debate from the other day. Sharper edges in the front, but it does have its charm. I'm pretty sure I've seen the solution before, and even on a landspeeder.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this in the next official landspeeder set, especially since the whole front section can be achieved quite sturdy.

I took some liberties with this shot from the Star Wars Rebels Midseason trailer, but I just couldn't help it. Obi-Wan potentially facing off against Darth Maul was just too good to pass up.

Rebels has made Maul into a much more interesting character than Episode 1 ever allowed. I have a feeling there is going to be much more to this scene than a lightsaber battle. Can't wait.

The scene itself went through numerous build iterations until settling upon what you see above. Though the campfire is super subtle, it proved to be an immense pain in the ass to put it together. Hope you like.

Thanks for looking, and be sure to tune into Rebels every Saturday on Disney XD.... at least I think that's where/when it airs. I just watch it on iTunes since we don't have cable :)

I finally got around to doing another Tatooine moc. I love how it turned out and had so much fun building this. I added a lot of fun details and easter eggs.

One of my favourites, I messed around with their positions for ages before being happy with this shot!

"Hey! Careful with that!"

A surprise leaving gift for my good friend Sanel who fittingly goes by the nickname "Boga" this will probably be my last model for a while.

I had great fun bringing Boga to life with bricks and even though this represents about 98% of my collection of dark green (which now proudly sits at Sanel's place) it was more than worth it. I wanted to tackle Boga for a while and this now created the perfect opportunity.

It came together quite quickly over the course of two evenings and then a third one after a couple of Bricklink orders brought the sought-after dark green hands and some other small bits for the last details. I especially enjoyed building the head – I seem to have a thing for animals and creatures lately.

Sanel was over the moon – and so was I, seeing him so happy about the model. And then I got back home from our LUG meetup and saw your feedback – I'm blown away! Thanks!

(Obi-Wan's fancy new hairstyle obviously results from Boga's speedy movement across Utapau, not my atrocious collection of dark orange hair styles ;) )

Thank you all so much! I'm so thankful to be part of the wonderful Flickr LEGO community, you've all been so kind to me and my photos, thank you! :D

Hey guys,

After one week without a new creation it is time for uploading the 4️⃣th part of my building series, it is time to recue princess Leia from the inquisitors. Here is the plot summary for the scene which I recreate:

[...]Kenobi and Leia are pursued by a seeker droid. As Reva orders her troops to take Tala for interrogation, the fortress's klaxons begin ringing. Kenobi contacts Tala via comlink, inadvertently distracting her stormtrooper captors. This allows Tala to break free and take them out with a blaster. Kenobi uses his lightsaber to take out the pursuing seeker droid and stormtroopers in the fortress' corridors. Kenobi and Leia flee into a tunnel. As Reva, a Purge Trooper, and stormtrooper reinforcements close in on them, Kenobi deflects their blasts, sealing the blast door on their end of the tunnel.

Kenobi uses the Force to delay a cracking window while Tala reunites with Leia. The Purge trooper and stormtroopers force their way through the door and Kenobi releases the broken window, causing the tunnel to flood. The trio escape onto the other side of the tunnel, which they seal temporarily with the blast door. Tala and Kenobi reach the main hangar. Kenobi dons an Imperial greatcoat with Leia hiding underneath.[...]

The building series makes a lot of fun so far, I enjoy building Star Wars stuff again and I hope you guys like the series too. Only 2 builds to go, so stay tuned for the next ones.
