Yesterday morning was very foggy. I had to go out for a bit anyway so brought my camera. I could barely see a block down the street. So I went to our nearby forest, but as it was very slushy from the snow we just had, I didn't want to venture down the 32 steps that would take me down. So I shot the trees in the forest from the top of the steps.
If you zoom in, you can see all the layers better :)
A rather dramatic and artistically (well in my mind anyway) composed shot I wanted to try lying in the grass on the banks of Loch Creran with the beautiful Scottish Mountains in the distance. This was on a very windy cold day but at least we had a bit of a bright sunshine for a short period with only a few clouds in the sky as dusk commenced. The plants, grasses and loch were just so amazing in their vibrancy, colours and textures.

I've done a series of light projections on skin in real life photography and figured it'd be a fun challenge to tackle in SL. While the process of setting up the projectors and getting SL pitch black wasn't too bad, choosing the right projection patterns proved to be more challenging than anticipated. Some patterns work to heighten the cartooniness of SL, some obfuscate too much, and some not nearly enough. After more tries than I care to admit I think I've finally settled on this for the first of what will (probably) be a series of experiments with light patterns in SL. Hope you like it!
