Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I can't resist a pink and blue shot with my ongoing Flickr Album and this was a gift, with the pink rucksack just adding to the mix. Walk this way... talk this way... Enjoy!

(Physostegia virginiana)
These flowers were visited by small Helictus bees, one of them seen in the photo.
Two people and their Dog on the Jurrasic Coast last month, as the sea fret rolled in. Loved the adoration of the dog towards his owners as they stared at the storm damaged cliffs at Charmouth, Dorset. Gurt chunks were falling off as we stood there, all a bit unnerving tbh.
Lola on what we think was her first visit to the coast. Baxter is looking for a lost tennis ball in the background.

▶ Physostegia virginiana —commonly known as the obedient plant or obedience— is a species of flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae, native to North America from eastern Canada to northern Mexico. In the wild, it is found in wet meadows, barrens, glades, damp thickets...and open upland forests, as long as the soil is quite high in pH.
The plant forms clumps up to 4 feet tall, with green toothed margin leaves. The tubular flowers —pale purple, rose, or white— bloom from July through October. They grow on tall racemes [spikes], appearing from the bottom up.
Physostegia are known as obedient plants because a flower pushed to one side will often stay in that position.
