Currently (as of date taken) the largest mural in Oakland, CA. Called "Zero Hunger" it is one of six across the United States meant to bring attention to the issue of world hunger. Mural shows a smiling young Black girl with sunlight on her face, holding a bundle of wheat. The 190 feet tall piece is on the Marriott Hotel building at Broadway & 11th Street. It will be there indefinitely. The mural's artist is Victor Ash 😍💖

Captured at our first ever visit to, "In-N-Out Burger", which is basically a West coast chain. Food quality was much better than anything I have ever experienced back East.

From the right to the left you can see Berkeley, Emeryville and Oakland, CA. Directly ahead is the eastern span of the San Fransisco - Oakland Bay Bridge reaching Yerba Buena Island. Across the bay is San Francisco. Taken at 6:47 P.M., 11/15/08. HDR from one Raw file.
Shot taken from our home in Oakland at about 9 a.m. I have lived in the Bay Area for 44 years now & this is the 1st time a view like this has ever happened. The eerie effect of the raging CA wildfires. Lasted all day. Grateful that this is the absolute worst we encountered, as countless people not far away had to flee for their lives, some losing their lives, so many losing their homes, etc.
