This is a photo I took at last nights Mets game! The game was NY Mets vs. WA Nationals and the final score was 13-10 in favor of the Mets!! Such a good game!! So much fun!! We had some great seats too! Not spectacular seats, but they were nothing to sneeze at! ^_^

I'm stopping by to say hi to all of my friend here in Flickrland! I have a chance to spend a little time here in Flickrland, but I'm off for vacation on Sunday and I won't be back till next Saturday.... Mets home opener

We first saw Jeff play at Rumbletown as a Rumble Pony - the NYMet's AA team. I knew then that he would be called up to the Mets and in 2018 he was. He has been one of their best hitters ever since. Way to go, Jeff!

When the NY Mets baseball team started in 1962, it was trying to appeal to the large contingent of former Giants and Dodgers fans when those 2 teams left to go to California. The Mets' team colors reflect this: orange (and, more recently, black) from the Giants, blue from the Dodgers. The Mets went from worst (in 1968) to first (World Series champs in 1969). See the link below in comments to learn how the Mets helped heal the country in 1969, the same year as Apollo 11, Woodstock, the Manson murders. It was the year after Bobby Kennedy and MLK were shot to death.
