New Year fireworks over the Tamsui River at New Year's Eve 2022
New Taipei City Government hold a fireworks display lasting 13 minutes and 14 seconds over the Tamsui River on New Year's Eve 2022, with a view to replace the Taipei 101 show as the foremost New Year's event in Taiwan.
New Taipei mayor hopes New Year fireworks will supplant Taipei's as nation's best.
「光耀新北－1314就愛你」跨河煙火，淡江大橋跨河構台已設置，於12月31日晚間8時22分施放煙火13分14秒，同時因淡江大橋主橋長度約920公尺，因此，把這場年終煙火取諧音「一生一世就愛你」。他指出，淡江大橋將於2024年完工，橋址位於台灣出國及返鄉的航線上，不僅是國家地標，也是思鄉的地標，更是新北的地標，才會選擇在年終施放橫跨淡水與八里兩岸的煙火，未來也將比照澳洲雪梨煙火，以期展現台灣的希望及夢想。他表示，這次煙火秀將首次以12寸彈裝填彈藥珠增加施放煙火效果，煙火範圍長達1公里，為101大樓高度2倍，施放高度達350公尺，淡水河兩岸都可看到最美麗的煙火景像。當天將施放超過1萬發煙火彈，效果將超越101煙火，歡迎大家看完淡水河跨河煙火後，再趕到台北看101跨年煙火。
