Maybe the title should be Crazy and their cars... since this bunch is totally nutso, in the best possible way. Giggled doing the shot so much that I almost lost the aim.
Thank you Saskia for inviting me. It was fun to meet new people and see my dear friends again. Can't wait til the next time !
This Prototype Revolver from Val' More, a cyberpunk, Blade Runner reminiscent work of beauty, made it's debut at October's Engine Room Event, and remained Exclusive to there for the length of the event. I noticed during the first week how many people I saw purchasing it, as well as how many people I saw walking around with one, well it was obvious to me that as far as avatar accessories go, this release was nothing short of a smash success!
Meantime, I was being frugal, getting things for using in picture taking, and in my sl home and getting pieces of a few "looks" I was going to create. My Lindens ran low and well I couldn't buy it !!! When I got my lindens re-upped, I tp-ed immediately to the Engine Room to purchase the piece.
When I got there...sadly, the Revolver less than two hours earlier had been taken home :( That was a serious disappointment. Less than twenty minutes later, the Val' More group's chat started ding ding ding ding, I look and what was going on there was there were a LOT of people asking the creator, if he was planning to make the gun available in his store, or would he please get it up and available!!! Well he got it up quick and that night when I went to get mine there were lots of avatars coming in and out buying it, yes it's a hit hah, Congrats.
The thing is so damn addicting to have in your hand. There a fair amount of options as far as setting it's look to how you like it, color, crossbow, color and message on the led barrel , but what it really is, is the tricks/animations that your avatar is performing with the Gun in one hand going nutso with a decently long cycle of kick ass tricks and at the same time, in your other hand you are doing tricks with the bullet tossing it and catching it, it's just really 'F'N cool :)
Val More great job and price, all the quality stuff you're doing is appreciated and you are on the rise and on the map man.
Something weird is going on every time I go to the baker here in my town. I go there, act completely normal, order a round white bread and I swear to god, the girl behind the counter always looks at me funny. Today the same thing happened, she was staring at me, I noticed so I smiled, she smiled back and then there was this awkward... staring... contest... Really weird! :D I'm starting to think maybe she saw me execute a 365 outside or something and thinks I'm a complete nutso... :p
Such a crazy good summer for lightning, not sure I've ever seen a monsoon like this one where great lightning happened on a nightly basis. But if the first part was nutso busy, September completely shut it down which is shocking. I chased only two days so far this month and there isn't much hope on the horizon.
But lots in the backlog, some favorites from this summer still to come, so here's a crazy close strike about 1-2 miles away from me, hitting just off Interstate 10 north of Casa Grande. Getting addicted to close strikes :)
After another night of not much sleep (see my previous upload), I had another encounter with our houseghost. I was editting photos of my 365 today and suddenly I noticed a new window in explorer. Maybe it was there before but I just noticed. It was a site with tips on how to get a better night's sleep... While I wasn't surfing for bad sleep remedies or anything at all. So this must be our friendly spirit trying to make up for keeping me up all night! (There were knocking sounds in my bedroom, I slept on the couch in our living room last night. Well, a little bit.)
Yes. I prefer to believe in friendly ghosts rather than think A. I am going completely nutso, B. Someone has hacked into my computer, or C. There is someone else in the house who messes with my stuff when I'm not looking. :p
Anybody of you had encounters with ghosts? Fill me in! ^^
Sunday morning...A GLORIOUS day all together, between this sunrise, the sun all day and the 60 degree F weather in February. This weather is nutso.
When the sky goes NUTSO!!!
This was such a fun and unexpected stormy sky treat in the South Dakota Badlands. While out scouting for Milky way compositions in a really unique part of the park, the sky to the north just blew up with amazing colors. It was an easy decision to stop looking to the south for later possible images and immediately focus on what was happening in the opposite direction. I was fortunate to get a number of different compositions during this great stormy sky event. Here is just one....

An Owl's tale.....I finally got a chance to spend some quality time with my local Great Horned owl family. This year they had 4 owlets and all have successfully fledged and are flying. I found 5 members of the family on a very cloudy and stormy evening. The light was mostly non existent..... but these guys were going nutso! The story is that Dad had just dropped down to catch a mouse. He flew up to the tree branch and passed it to mom.....she is holding the mouse in each photo. One owlet was on the same branch as mom....the other was on a branch behind and above them. Well, that baby got so excited seeing dad bring some food home. that it flew off its branch and straight into dad!! Talons out, he hit dad square in the chest, knockings him out of the tree! while dad was falling and regaining his balance in flight, junior also fell out of the tree. Here is a small set of images showing the sequence. I cannot not believe that I got to witness this crazy moment! (No owls were harmed and both managed to fly before hitting the ground) Please view full series
Day 5
Another close up shot before the lens went all nutso on me.
These are the buds that are left after the eggs and bacon flowers finish flowering.
Can't figure out why it's stopped focusing to infinity and keeps on going back to wide open.
Going to give it another go tomorrow and see if it will resolve itself overnight. Maybe a CZJ brownie is living inside the lens and will fix it while I sleep?!

Seasons Greetings from Kaleb ... who looks as if he's had too many sugary sweets
well we've been tooooooo busy to post any photos lately, 12 people and 4 dogs in the house, it was a great Christmas, never a dull moment here!
The dogs enjoyed all the people around and all of the walks and runs too.
I've been enjoying my time off too, I'm trying to stay away from the computer as much as I can, so I don't find myself working and not just enjoying my time off.
explore 301 :]
It was eighteen degrees outside. Pretty sure when my neighbors glanced out their window and saw me trekking out into the forest in my little dress, they probably thought I'd gone nutso.
It's been way too long since I last uploaded or even took any photos at all! It was getting rather depressing. I was just so busy with finals and school stuff... And now that I'm home, my main model, sissy Haley, still has a week left of school, so she's busy! Ugh. I'm just waiting until this weekend. Then she'll be free from school and I'll have my little model back :] I HATE doing selfies!

This Belted Kingfisher decided not to migrate this year. For his efforts, he gets to bath in our balmy -18 degree winter weather.

Salem is one of the dollies that came back with me from Sugaroni's (I have four of hers and she has three of mine) I am slowly feeling like I am getting some sort of groove back and my head space more settled from being back home. I didn't except this to happen -so thanks everyone for being patient with me (you know who you are, I really appreciate it!) xoxo

This week went by in a blur. I was exhausted both mentally and physically ~ made me a little nutso . I did what i can and was trying to keep my eye on the prize....the weekend! Some weeks just do that.
I was reminded of this : "At the end of a day, when you go to bed at night thinking that you have done your very best that you could possibility do. Then you should go to bed feeling happy and peaceful." It doesn't matter how much you have achieved or what you have failed and what others have to say and be judgmental of you, if you have done your very best and you look back and say "that was as much as i could have done", then there
is no reason for any disappointment at all.
Here comes the weekend, which i'm hoping is full of fun things like some quality time relaxing and lounging at home, taking plenty of naps and maybe even continuing my fun sewing project. Signing off for the weekend with a photo of Pettibon in her comfy lounge jumpsuit and her tinny friends.
Have fun out there.
Love to you and yours.
My parents got me some Efke 25 B&W film when they were in town--bulk roll, expired. First time using it--I like! Southern Cali is so bright in the summer, it's interesting to shoot such a slow film.
Every time I see this NOTSO graffiti tag, I wish it said NUTSO.
Ganges, Michigan
Olympus XA2
Ilford HP5
I've said it before and I will say it again, the Olympus XA2 is an amazing camera. The meter is nutso. I don't often attach it to my tripod, but on this particular occasion I did, and I am amazed at how sharp it was and that it got the exposure of the wood on the house so well.
Might not seem like a big deal that it nailed the exposure, but this was taken at NIGHT, I repeat, at NIGHT. And that little wonder still dialed it in. Probably a bit more exposure than I would've chosen, but still.
