The College of Nursing 2015 Margaret C. Haley Awards celebrates the success of our alumni and provides an opportunity for current students to network with professional nurses and become a part of the legacy at Seton Hall University. The Haley Awards were held on October 5, 2015 at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange.
The Brady School of Nursing honored its 2016 graduating class with a pinning ceremony held Thursday, May 5, at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. Thirty students were honored for completing the requirements for their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. During the pinning ceremony, they were congratulated by Shorter University President Dr. Don Dowless and Brady School Dean Roxanne Johnston. The students also were presented with their nursing stoles, cords, and pins. Nursing faculty member Dr. Kriss Douglass led the students in the Blessing of the Hands, praying for the students to be the hands of Christ throughout their nursing careers.

Carl Sandburg College nursing students and nursing instructor Emily Schaeffer participated on the first day of the COVID-19 vaccination clinic for Knox County residents 65 years of age and older on Thursday at Cottage Hospital. Students assisted with vaccinations, monitored patients afterward, made sure consent forms were accurately completed, disinfected and wiped down clipboards, chairs, and other surfaces, and escorted patients. Over 500 vaccinations were administered. Additionally, Alison Olinger, a surgery RN and Sandburg Class of 2018 alumna, assisted in the event.
