Description: (三菱化成から寄贈のスライド)A brown planthopper becomes short-winged from, when a young nymph feeds on growing rice plants of high yielding varieties at low population density. The short-winged froms have no flying capability. On the other hand, nymphs become long-winged forms on rice plant in the ripening stage or rice plnts withering due to outbreaks of brown planthopper.
