We witnessed this spectacular rain cloud over the northern part of Lac du Bourget in France. Clouds had started gathering earlier on and it had started to rain around the same area, but quite suddenly the whole huge cloud started to pour down its entire contents over this small area you see here in a rather cataclysmic fashion! I guess seeing this from up close must have been something!
I might post this again in color in the future but for the moment I'm posting this b&w version as my submission to the current Challenge 168 "Old school clouds in B&W" hosted by Clinchy in our friendly the global camel committee group.
We witnessed this spectacular rain cloud over the northern part of Lac du Bourget in France in the summer of 2018.
The clouds had started gathering earlier on and it rained around the same area for a while, but quite suddenly the whole huge cloud started to pour down its entire contents over this small area you see here in a rather cataclysmic fashion, reminding me of a nuclear mushroom! I'm happy I was not there!
Actually it's the 2nd time I post this scene here, the previous was a b&w version of it because I felt that the color one was too difficult to process. But finally I made an edit I'm quite happy with.
Brand new 68033 leads 68002 with 6k73 Sellafield-Crewe nukes past Goldmire Quarry (near Park South) running 22E, caught in the very last of today's sunlight, just minutes before the sun went too weak to photograph in.
68018 tnt 68029 pass Park South with 6c51 Sellafield-Heysham nukes running to time, in some lovely November light. Hopefully I might get the 2 bloody 37's tonight on the RHTT at Barrow and 37025 too!!

I could handle seeing this view each morning.
Billy the Clown and his dog are wandering through ruins of that what used to be the New York... One of the biggest metropolis has fallen. The nature is overtaking the buildings, streets and cars of this once beautiful city... They stopped at a corner. Billy climbed at one of yellow cabs to take a better view. The whole street was empty. The only sound they heard was a hum of plants moved by the wind.
"Let's go, my friend." - said Billy - "Manhattan is ahead of us. I think we will find there some Twinkies for you. "
The dog barked happily, and their journey started again.
Another brickbuilt scene by me. This time we're leaving Nuclear Russia and heading to New York. I hope that I captured the city's vibe, since I've never been there. :D
Overally the build is heavily inspired by Tim Schwalfenberg's and Ralf Langer's work. The cab is based on the one by Eddy.plu.
I hope you enjoy it guys, more shots are coming tomorrow!

37604 leads classmate 37069 as the pair pass Dunnerholme golf course, near Askam with the 6k73 nukes. 25 early.
DRS 68018 'Vigilant' and Chiltern standby cat 68009 'Titan' accelerate away from Monktonhall Junction past Inveresk, while in charge of the 6S43 Carlisle KM - Torness nuclear flask train.
While enduring the long flight home from vacation, we passed some huge thunderheads while going through Texas airspace. Their beauty inspired me to pick up my droid phone and snap a few pics.
While originally happy with the usual beautiful cloud formation from this point of view, I started to play with the picture in the PicSay Pro app. Once I applied the mirror effect, I was shocked to see a very convincing nuclear mushroom cloud. Wow...
I further tweaked color, saturation, temperature, and some other things to end up with this rather morbid interpretation of what started out as a beautiful picture of a cloud.
I cleaned up the noise and some artifacting in Lightroom to finish it.
Even though some people didn't like the movie, I loved this movie to the fullest. Not many understood what this movie was really about. These are what true superheroes go through in real life and how we the people react would react to them.
Dawn of Justice used comic book reference to please real comic book fans and not just make a spoon fed superhero movie.
Follow me on instagram for more of my mini figures thank you.
Every Friday, for more than a year, people demonstrate in front of the Japanese Prime Ministers Office against nuclear power - as does this 80 years old lady!
Taiwan Power Company Discarded Materials Port, Lanyu Island
There is a nuclear waste storage facility behind the mountain. The plant receives nuclear waste from Taiwan's three nuclear power plants operated by state utility Taiwan Power Company (Taipower). About 100,000 barrels of nuclear waste from the nation’s three operational nuclear power plants have been stored at the Lanyu complex. In 2002 and 2012, there were major protests from local residents, calling on Taipower to remove the nuclear waste from the island.
A while ago / I walked the woods / and met this tree / with one clear message: "no more nukes! go tell this to the world."
Before Canadian Pacific took back the D&I from the ICE, there were many memorable and productive chases on this line.
A matched consist of four westbound Iowa Chicago and Eastern SD40-2s on a beautiful summer afternoon was time well spent.
The MP 99 shot at Leaf River was always a no-brainer when in chase mode. The Byron nuclear plant in the background spewing isotopes into the air was always a neat scene. It just doesn't look as cool with filthy blistered Canadian Pacific GEs.
The big one is from the Bethesda Fallout game collection, and goes "BOOM...kaching!" when you press the triangular button on the side. The medium-sized one is 3D printed in ABS, and acetone vapor smoothed. The smaller mininukes are LEGO-compatible.
I also have a belt of 40mm micro-nukes (not pictured) that can be loaded into my LEGO-compatible Mk19 launcher.
This railroad has been my favorite for quite a while now...and go friggin figure its going to be gone in a little while....Canadian Pacific announced today their bid for the ICE/DME system......
Anotther Lampy Approved locale.....thanks man....
The Nuneaton - Leicester line doesn't often see nuclear flask traffic. For this Crewe - Shirebrook move, I must say I could have thought of several apparently shorter routes, but here it is on its way via Leicester, with 66301, the FNA presumably for some fettling (it was made at Shirebrook). Narborough Station looks on with blank eyes.
