Surveying an "arable margin" for the National Plant Monitoring Scheme I was pleasantly surprised to find the whole field turned over to such pretty things - Fodder Radish caught the light nicely and you can see the Sunflowers - I also noticed Millet, Fodder Roots, Flax, a stray Amaranth and I kind of wish I'd made a complete list rather than keeping my mind on the task I was there for...

Neatly trimmed, there are no flowers on the Hawthorn it is made of, so there will be no berries.

Neatly trimmed, with few berries for the birds and little vegetation in the metre-wide strip that is measured from the centre.

Seen at Ilfracombe on Grand UK Holidays duties, Crutwell's MIB 8143 is a Volvo B10M with Van Rooijen Odyssee coachwork. It was new to Safford, Little Gransden in 1985, registered B270 NPM. Only three B10Ms with this style of coachwork were imported into the UK.

隆蓋，圓口，直頸，腹一側帶流，扁圓腹外鼓，平底下接三足。蓋鈕為雙手交握的坐姿猴形，提梁作獸形，梁的兩端分別為獸首和後肢，梁身以鏤空的蟠虺紋盤繞而成。曲頸流為鳥首形，雙翼伸展至腹壁，器足作立猴負鳥形獸。腹壁以兩圈寬帶紋為界，填滿細密帶凸點的類蟠虺紋。 此器基本形制仿自戰國銅盉，鑄造精良，原型或來自於《西清古鑑》卷三十一頁五十九〈周螭梁盉〉。然而，此器量體巨大，全器局部紋飾使用錯金銀，以勾勒獸鱗和三角紋、雲紋等，表現顏色對比和層次，造型繁複華麗，雖迥異於東周銅盉，卻充滿想像。
