Svinesund bridges connecting Norway and Sweden. The newest bridge in the back. Sweden to the left and Norway to the right.
I made this shot while travelling home from Noway for holidays. And yes, I am not Norwegian, I am Lithuanian :)
In August 2002, I visited my cousins in Norway. As a surprise, my cousin, Villy, took me on a three day driving tour of the fjords. It was fantastic!!
This is Filefjell (Mt. File or literally Mountain Mountain).
It is a mountainous area between Lærdal and Valdres. As you can see, it is a beautiful region.
The photo was taken in August 23, 2002.
Reuben watching it snow. It had just been sunny.
Barkey took one look and went back in the house..
I think Reuben was just trying to catch a flake on his tongue..
You can see that the flakes were HUGE..
We visited the beautiful little town Ålesund. From a hill called Aksla you can get the best overview on the town before you actually stroll through the charming alleys. By the way it was cold and windy and not really much happening in the streets on that Sunday evening.
The amazing Quiraing is an icon of the Isle of Skye. This spectacular landscape was created from a massive landslide leaving behind high cliffs, hidden plateaus and pinnacles of rock.
I had initially wanted to go the hike and shoot the iconic shot from here for myself but time wasn't on my side so we literally drove past it on our way to another location. There was noway I couldn't not stop the car for a quick photograph. I did want to shoot a wide vista but the truth is that I have never ever experienced wind like it before, it was that strong you could breath when facing it
I had almost lost my camera & tripod over a cliff a few times and I literally had to hold down the tripod with all my weight, noway I wanted to change lenses in them conditions. I stuck with the long lens and went really tight into this gigantic landscape. I absolutely love the ruggedness of this unbelievable place. Certainly not the sharpest image you will see but something I really like about it.
If you look closely on the right hand side you will see two people, gives you an idea of the scale of this place.

Tromsø, a city in northern Norway, is a major cultural hub above the Arctic Circle. It’s famed as a viewing point for colorful Northern Lights that sometime light up the nighttime sky. The city’s historic center, on the island of Tromsø, is distinguished by its centuries-old wooden houses.
The city centre of Tromsø contains the highest number of old wooden houses in Northern Norway, the oldest house dating from 1789. The city is a cultural centre for its region, with several festivals taking place in the summer.
Beautiful time in beautiful city. I like to go and take photos here. It is probably not the last set from me :)
