03-october-2021: this is the lowest/deepest area of the (ghost) Lake, a small zone where the main sinkholes/springs of this intermittent karstic lake are located, close together.
So it is, therefore, the last part of the Lake (except the artificially embanked one to save a part of the abundant fish fauna from increasingly long and frequent dry periods) to have water and the first to fill up when the aquifers are full after a period of consistent rain.
The absence of water starts from July 2021 and at the moment (28-October-2021), without intervals, it is still empty.
In the Karst area, this is one of the clearest visible effects of the change in the meteorological trend of the area, certainly linked to Global Warming.
In fact, it should be pointed out that the Lake Cerknica, although with variations in water level, in the past was present for most of the year (there have been many years in which it has always been present), often reaching the dimensions that make it, temporarily, the largest lake in the State, while the periods of emptying were very rare and short (from a few days to a maximum of 2-3 weeks), resulting, at least until the 1990s, the ONLY EXAMPLE in the World of fish adaptation to survive in the aquifers in complete darkness for even 15-20 days; the fish re-emerged, alive, when the rains returned, together with the water coming out of the sinkholes that become resurgences.
For about twenty years now, and more and more markedly year after year, the water disappears for ever longer times (now we are talking about months, not days or a couple of weeks) and with great frequency, even in the wettest seasons, such as spring and autumn, naturally fish fauna that ends up in the sinkholes today, dies.
Volunteers and foresters lend themselves to saving fish as much as possible, but those who manage to bring to the perennial part of the lake are a very small minority.
The problem of the decrease in the frequency of precipitation meant that the underlying aquifers had less and less water, so, today, for the water to re-emerge on the surface, greater amounts of precipitation are required and for longer times, while 40-50 days of dry weather are sufficient to empty the lake.
25-march-2022: Lake Cerknica (now only Cerknica Basin/Cerkniško polje), although with variations in water level, in the past was present for most of the year (there have been many years in which it has always been present), often reaching the dimensions that make it, temporarily, the largest lake in the State, while the periods of emptying were very rare and short (from a few days to a maximum of 2-3 weeks), resulting, at least until the 1990s, the ONLY EXAMPLE in the World of fish adaptation to survive in the aquifers in complete darkness for even 15-20 days; the fish re-emerged, alive, when the rains returned, together with the water coming out of the sinkholes that become resurgences.
So, a symbol of life.
But...
So, what was a miracle of life has turned into a no-return tunnel of death and all this in front of my eyes, in my short life.
More in general...
Nature has altered its weather patterns and now the change has become climatic, it is no longer a matter of single, local, episodes or anomalies, but of a now full-blown "new normal".
This has a series of consequences on the environment that will become progressively more serious and will lead to a real economic crisis to try to pay for the damages (I would no longer speak of prevention, that phase, highly ignored, is now over) and water, in many places in the world it will become much more expensive than oil or gas.
Surface desertification has many faces and they all converge in that direction, especially in the Mediterranean area, as far as Europe is concerned.
It must be known that rain also contributes to desertification, with an irregular distribution in time, space and quantity and often with extreme phenomena, heavy rains "wash away" the soil, depleting it in full harmony with the long dry periods, they work together.
The areas that in the past lived on precarious natural balances are now the first (of a long series) that show clear signs of change...already happened once it became evident!
I don't know how much it affects man, I'm only interested in people being aware of the real situation.
What is certain is that the changes are evident even to a blind person and sincerely, although frequently harmful, rains of any kind, for the water tables, are absolutely necessary and I don't want to hear more people complain if they have to open the umbrella, they are blasphemies for Nature!!!
Many may get the words here but it definitely a Southern thang....now we are talking scratch made choked off biscuits (big and fluffy) along with thick flour gravy with chunks of sausage floating in this as the biscuit is split open and slathered with gravy....yeah that is love 😉
Lumen print on Kentmere Kentona Glossy Double Weight, grade 2.
Exposed for 30 min in Swedish morning light.
Now we are talking, this contrast is otherwordly. It looks like the Tuja is deep frozen.
Lithable and warmtone papers rule (as always, I would say).
Kentona - with or without Cd - you make a great lumen paper!
In the past,we talked about war.World war I,II and the cold war.
Now,we are talking about economy.Because the oil energy have developed, many countries' growth rate have speeded up around the world.
In the future,we will talk about mental illness.Large pressure often bring about the mental illness.
In the frozen ice kingdoms of the north where Slavic tribes and Scandinavian savages often fought among themselves for power, but equally often had short lived alliances that often were broken as fast as some old grudge fueled clan skirmishes that often escalated to fullblown war…
…on once truce-occation the two Rulers had a joint military parade to celebrate a temporary peace, the Queen of the Scandinavian and Nordics Queen Sven-Inge and the Queen of Slavic tribes Svetlana got talking while standing aloft on a podium watching their armies pass by…
- (Svetlana) Hey Inge! Don’t you wonder sometimes? wonder about the meaning of all this…
- (Sven-Inge) my dear Sweaty! I am from a long line of military kings and some queens, all of Scandinavian pedigree, my superior pure nordic brain is wondering and calculating all the time…
- (Svetlana) Spare your nationalist demagogic speeches for you underlings, we can speak openly, I mean sometimes I feel that you are my only friend despite the fact that I hate you!!!
- (Sven-Inge) …have you been sipping too much of that Yeltsin Vodka again? Or have you been munching on the mad monks dried mushrooms again? Ok even though you seem strange, I will listen to you, I mean we are at peace right now, you are my ally, for now that is…
- (Svetlana) I mean we share the grief of our sons, those we lost in our struggle for power! I mean when I look at these marching soldiers, some of them young, hardly older than our late sons! Then I start thinking these boys have parents!
- (Sven-Inge) Oh yes, dear Sweaty, shall I explain about the “birds and the bees” for you? What strange substance have you consumed, yes I know how bloodlines work!
- (Svetlana) Hey bitch listen to me or I will declare war on you again… I am trying to reach out to a fellow sister and queen, but sure if your imbecile nordic brain can’t let loose and let your speak freely, I will be silent and later have the Secret police poison you with polonium in your sleep!!!
- (Sven-Inge) Ok, sister and adversary, you got me curious, and yes I miss my son, my heart is not as frozen as the ever-frozen ground here up north… So spill your slavic guts!!!
- (Svetlana) …ok Great!!! So these soldiers have mums and dads, and even though they don’t belong to the superior class of society as we royals are, they still must have feelings, they must miss their dead loved ones!!!
- (Sven-Inge) As far as I see, I think you are completely right in your calculations and observations! I have seen families having their sons and daughters convicted for capital punishment at the Ting! Even though their loss was just a low level subject, they were crying before and after we had executed their convicted family member…
- (Svetlana) Yes that is the direction where I want your mind-maze behind you Nordic thick skull to travel, every killed soldier is a loss of family and causes pain on them that love them, I know it is in our tribes tradition to wage war, your people as well as mine have always been at war with someone, the Easterlings, the Barbarians, the Tripple Alliance and when not fighting them, we fight among our selves, I mean we suppress the polandic tribe we fight, the Udmurt fight the Kurgan and we fight them both to keep them from fighting!
- (Sven-Inge) Yes and in my kingdoms the Kven is fighting the Sami, the Finns the Magyars and so on, then the Danes and the Faroese fight, yes as far as history goes in our rune-library at Upper Sala there has been eternal fighting, but isn’t that our nature? I want Power and you want Power, if not for any other reason I want power for preventing you having enough power to kill me and my tribes!
- (Svetlana) Yes, now we are talking sister!!! So I just had a marvelous idea, you know that game the Mad Monk used to play with the alliance wizard?
- (Sven-Inge) Yes, that checkered game where they used to sit and wrinkle their heads for hours, it was called sha matt or checkered mate or something, eh wait, cherry, sharrish, or Shcreck???
- (Svetlana) Yes the name is not important, but I have heard about even more advanced wargames played in other kingdoms like the Stan-lands, Uzbeckistan, Långt-bort-i-stan, Pack-stan and so on… there the have developed gaming pieces representing every troop type and ant numbers of Military Units.
- (Sven-Inge) Oh, by Thor I get what you are going, you mean if we count our military units and they represent the equivalent numbers of units on a board, we could wage psuedo-wars and no troops would die and the families wouldn’t lose their loved ones!
- (Svetlana) Yes exactly sis’, let me give you a hug despite that your kin only bathes once a year!!!
So the two queens, their generals, admirals and strategists all came together to create an advanced wargame, the rules were plenty and there were a lot of negotiations on how to keep the boardgame as faithful to reality as possible…
…and finally the game was ready just in time for a border-conflict of territory of two small frozen uninhabited hills both Queens claimed as their…
…the queens entered the room with their massive advanced wargame, they lined up their small figures representing their different armies and troops, then there was a gamerule dispute and to settle that the two factions fought a conventional war!!!
NOW we are talking cool centres! I just bought this plant this afternoon. I had one a few years ago but it eventually perished. Hope this one fares better.
The half pass.
The half pass is a version of travers, completed on a diagonal line instead of against the rail. The horse should be in either collected trot or collected canter for this movement and should bend around the inside leg of the rider. The horse must stay balanced through the movement, engaged, and with a lot of impulsion for best results.
So updates from me and my dressage training with absinthe here or as he's formally known 'shaken not stirred'. Last update I told you about how we started him off in the piaffe and now we are talking about him in the half pass.
When my coach talked me through this test in the first week I was not prepared for what was to come, this is a beast of a test with so much packed into what equates to about a 5-minute ride that I almost gave up. But sleep does a body good and I have been able to get myself back into the saddle after an unfortunate misstep in the western competition. And to be able to bounce back has been such a beautiful and healing experience, especially with all the other things going on this month, and trust me a post summarizing the briarwood event is coming!
We've been schooling this test, level 3 test 2 for anyone wondering, for the past month now and one of the hardest things about it is the canter half-pass from A to R and A to S respectively. I should say it's hard for me and not for Absinthe, who thinks this movement is the most engaging yet that we've been practicing, on the other hand am not as keen. Balance in the diagonal movements has been something I have struggled with since we started this journey but with good practice comes good results.
We'll be testing like we always do with toor equestrians, and I'm very excited for this next step in our journey together as a dressage team. I am truly blessed with such an athletic and empathetic horse to ride into every competition, and no matter what we're both getting treats after.
anyhow toodles, I'm off to go rest now before the test on Friday, wish us both luck!
This was the moment were I was saying to myself and out loud in the morning „Now we are talking!“.
Only on the morning of the third day of the Three Peaks Bike Race I found what I am always looking for when going out for a bike ride - either small or while on a bikepacking race across Europe: stunning scenery, nice and new and intriguing places.
While the first stint from the afternoon start into and through the night was all focused on making good progress and getting into the flow the second day was in the first half only rain and dismal weather. Even when the sun finally did came out in the afternoon I held no interest in the views of the Inn valley (which also weren’t particularly enticing for my taste and also already well known). But here and now on the morning of the third day, shortly after the start in Telfs I crossed the Inn over this nice small bridge with lovely sights into the Inn gorge towards Imst-Bahnhof. Of course I made several photos, enjoyed a banana in the process and then continued over a very nice stretch of the Inn cycling route which I'd deliberately chosen while I was planning my route in preparation for the race. Since it promised nice views and car free cycling while at the same time providing good progress and virtually no added kilometres or climbing compared to the main road. Because despite nice views and all - an overly winding and up and down running cycling path just frustrates the heck out of me when you don’t get into any flow and good pace.

- Lord, Papa, Grand Master and protector of our Holy order, there are some men here who wants to see men with strange wrapping around their heads and they say they have gift of culinary soap!
- Ah,I think I know who that is,let them in, tell the chef to make some extra portions for my evening supper...
- Shall be done, my holiest leader and beacon of light!
The warrior monk goes away to get the visitors...
When he is back with the visitors, they Were exactly the ones Henricus expected them to be... The ex-emir and his closest men...
- Hello Holy leader, du you remember an old friend and ally?
I have brought you a collection of our new collection of culinary soap, we make them in the capital to finance our planned retake of my lost kingdom!
- I am so glad to see you, I heard of the sad news of the sacking of the kingdom, very sad indeed... sit down I have already told our chef to make more food it will be crayfish and wine, oh I forgot you don´t drink these beverages who intoxicate the mind... and I recall now you don´t eat anything carrying it´s armor on the outside of the body... I will tell chef to do some more Middle-easterling styled food and drink...
- No worry my old friend, I have adjusted to your culture while living in the capital, a glass of wine would be fine...
- Chef, bring wine for the Emir! can I call you Emir? what is your correct title now? I have been promoted people, he, he
- Call me Emir, that will be fine, I am still seen as such by my people residing in the capital and I plan to retake my Emirate from those nasty Scando-slavians and the infidel barbarians, now have some culinary soap, they are especially made for you, a Deluxe edition, they have two flavors each, we mold them in to one single piece...
- Chew, Chew, mmm, they go great to my own produced wine, still they lack the foaminess of the old ones you used to make...
- Yes and you wine is lovely much more sting to it than the watery stuff I have tasted in the city taverns...But Dear old Friend, I have a small proposition, I want us to make business together again...
- Spill it, dear old friend, no not the wine! I meant tell me you plans...
- Haven´t you guessed yet?
Yes you have! ...anyhow. the word around town is that you have gotten really rich... perhaps the richest on this side of the border...
- Yes, they people here in the village support us for their protection and for guidance of their souls, we provide both... the provide us with what they grow on the fields and what animals they raise and slaughter...
this all was good business, but then I discovered that they did nothing at night except for sleep, so I started a mine so they could do something sensible at night and guess what, we struck gold in not only a figurative way...
- I see, but I heard by city rumors that the Forestmen want´s to steal your hard earned property... have you still not guessed why I am here, eh, well except for visiting an old good friend, I have also heard that the queen has been eye-balling you treasure chests and doesn´t really approve with they way you run your business here...
- Oh I get it, you mean that we should join forces and retake you homeland, excuse my slowness I think I have had to many crates of wine today... but hey what is in it for me?
- this is my plan, you fund my exile-army with some of your gold, when I again rule my Emirate, you will proclaim loyalty to me instead of the queen, the queen wants peace, she is obsessed by peace, so if you are a vassal to me instead of her, she won´t do anything to your here you small "religious state" and then you won´t have any problems with the Forestmen since they are very loyal to the queen as long as they can run their little "Peoples state" which is constantly in factional infighting and revolutions...
- Now we are talking my dear friend, but I want to add one thing to this little scheme... Make me religious leader of both my faith and yours, then we will both have our balls in each others pouches, ok, That sounded, weird, it must be the wine, but you get my drift...
- My dear beloved Henricus, I think this will be a fine collaboration, cheers for our common future and for my soap, your wine and our people...
"Go without,
'Til the need seeps in
You low animal,
Collect your novel petals for the stem,
And glow,
Glow,
Melt and flow,
Eviscerate your fragile frame,
And spill it out in the ragged floor,
A thousand different versions of yourself,
And if the old guard still offend,
They got nothing left on which you depend,
So enlist every ounce
Of your bright blood,
And off with their heads,
Jump from the hook
You're not obliged to swallow anything you despise
See, those unrepenting buzzards want your life,
And they got no right--
As sure as you have eyes,
They got no right,
Just put yourself in my new shoes,
And see that I do what I do,
Because the old guard still offend,
(Their pudgy hearts and slimy hands)
They got nothing left on which we depend.
So enlist every ounce
Of your bright blood,
And off with their heads.
Jump from the hook,
You're not obliged to swallow anything you despise
That you despise."
- "Sleeping Lessons" by The Shins
------------------------------------------------
This is such an amazing song, and its meaning is so powerful. Over the last year I've been going through a lot of transformations, notably in relation to the world around me. It has made me realize how so many of the constructs that we live with everyday seem utterly absurd and antiquated to me. Religion, corporate greed, police states, tyranny, privatized health care, the list goes on. Just because something has been around for a long time doesn't mean its right. It just means its old. We need to pose more questions and demand more answers.
I came across this interpretation of the lyrics which sums up how I feel about this song very eloquently:
[ This is a song about a member of the new generation rejecting the ways and beliefs of the previous generation. The speaker advocates non-conformity, and questions the motives and values of his social predecessors. He maintains that they are unnecessary baggage for the newer generation, that they have no right to oppress the new generation's ideas, and that, should they try, rebellion is the right recourse. ]
Go without
'Til the need seeps in. [ accept your low state until simple physical necessity motivates you otherwise ]
You low animal, [ subservient to desire ]
Collect your novel petals for the stem. [ add beauty/originality to your more basic functioning ]
And glow,
Glow,
Melt and flow. [ become more, transcend your boundaries ]
Eviscerate your fragile frame,
And spill it out in the ragged floor,
A thousand different versions of yourself. [ destroy the feeble conformist version of yourself and release the possibilities that are contained within ]
And if the old guard still offend, [ if the previous generation still oppresses you ]
They got nothing left on which you depend, [ remember they have nothing you need ]
So enlist every ounce [ so become wholly motivated ]
Of your bright blood, [ of your youthful spirit ]
And off with their heads, [ and overcome them completely ]
Jump from the hook.
You're not obliged to swallow anything you despise. [ referencing the metaphoric hook/lure; you don't have to accept a set of beliefs that you oppose ]
See, those unrepenting buzzards want your life. [ ignoring their own mistakes, the older generation wants to conscript you to their purposes ]
And they got no right--
As sure as you have eyes, [ as sure as you can think for yourself ]
They got no right, [ they have no right to force their beliefs on you against your discernment of their falseness ]
Just put yourself in my new shoes, [ experience things as he does, from a new (and therefore better) perspective ]
And see that I do what I do, [ not “do what I do” but share in the understanding of what he does ]
Because the old guard still offend. [ which he does in rebellion against the established order ]
(Their pudgy hearts and slimy hands) [ emphasizes their corruption ]
They got nothing left on which we depend. [ before the pronoun was a second person; now we are talking about efforts that exceed a lone individual ]
So enlist every ounce
Of your bright blood,
And off with their heads.
Jump from the hook.
You're not obliged to swallow anything you despise.
That you despise.

50 years ago and now we are talking with the arrival on the 15th of June of NASA's Douglas DC-6 N428NA. In to calibrate the Winkfield Tracking Station, she parked North-side and If I recall correctly she was there for a couple of days
(Chris England caught her there the year before on the Southern parking:
www.flickr.com/photos/chrisengland/38178165555/in/photoli... )
Also in that day was Royal Canadian Air Force Boeing CC-137 (707) 13702 plus Seagram's Gulfstream II N777SW
The next day saw one of Lufthansa's Boeing 707's D-ABUL arrive as did Iberia's Fokker F-28 Fellowship EC-BVB and a bit of variety on the 17th there with an Aeroflot Ilyushin Il-62 86677 a highly polished RAF Transport Command Comet, XR395 and the star - Air Viking's Vickers Vanguard TF-AVA (see Markus Buttinger's lovely shot of her here: imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/0/7/4/0412470.jpg )
On the 19th at Gatwick was French Air Force MS760 Paris No.40 along with Loftleidir's Canadair CL-44D TF-LLJ (Check out Michael Thorne's wonderful shot of her there just a month before: www.flickr.com/photos/60580721@N06/8325207533/in/photolis... )
Back at work at Heathrow that day yielded a nice Lear Jet N77JN and a day later National Airlines Douglas DC-8 N108RD arrived along with some Eastern European items including Yugoslavian JAT's Douglas Dc-9 YU-AHP and Romanian Tarom's BAC-111 YR-BCB
Gulfstream I N671NC graced the tarmac there ass did Aer Lingus Boeing 707 EI-ASN (seen here in Bob Garrard's collection: www.flickr.com/photos/23032926@N05/6432052299/in/photolis... )
Home on the 20th and seen overhead Worthing was Britannia's Boeing 737 G-AXNC. In those days most traffic used their registration as the use of Flight Numbers was mainly the preserve of the National Airlines
Heading up via Gatwick the next day saw Capitol's Douglas DC-8-63CF N4909C (here's Nick Ellis 61's wonderfully evocative shot off her there: www.flickr.com/photos/nickopix/28143227043/in/photolist-J... )
and overhead was MAC's C-141 Starlifter 66-0193. Again, thankfully fin numbers were 'king' back then for most airways MAC traffic radio call-signs whereas in these computerised days MAC's equivalent 'AMC' uses digitally allocated numbered 'Reach' call-signs that bear no relation to the airframe.
However, my destination that day wasn't work but a day out at the then, annual Biggin Hill Air Fair.
As can be seen there were numerous gems there including Pacific Western's L-100 Hercules CF-PWN, a West German Luftwaffe Nord Noratlas 52+88 plus a selection of Royal Navy participants including Brawdy based Fairey Gannet AEW.3 XL450/BY764
(See peter Fosters fabulous photo here: www.flickr.com/photos/40263244@N04/11584642793/in/photoli... )
A relatively new Culdrose based Sea King XV661/CU96 and HMS Eagle based HS Buccaneer S.2 XV361/E106
Ted Smith Aerostar N7480S was there - a type based on the Aero Commander (here's a Belgian one passing the house a decade later: www.flickr.com/photos/29288836@N00/8125255701/in/photolis... )
and Hawker Hurricane G-AMAU aka PZ865 'the last Hurricane built' which was donated by Hawker Siddeley to what eventually became The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and still flies with them today
RAF Hercules XV190 was there and on a similar note - and unidentified Belfast overflew on Airways on her way to Brize Norton
The Fleet Air Arm Flypast consisted of a couple of Sea Vixens, a Buccaneer and Phantom
Time away from work at Heathrow then followed as on the 23rd June 1970 I started my Royal Air Force awarded ATC Flying Scholarship
Shoreham School of Flying were nominated as my host as they had just won the right to teach such award winners and I just happened to be the first! So instead of being away at some far flung airfield, it was a simple mile long bike ride from my parent's house to the Airport and under the tutelage of Chief Instructor 'Doc' Watson, a quartet of Cessna F.150's, along with a pair of F.172's were at mine and two other fellow cadets disposal
For the next month I spent many a happy hour aloft with three different instructors - one being Doc but another was the inimitable and now sadly deceased Toon Ghose. A wonderful charismatic man and champion Glider pilot who, during the first week of our tenure was checked out by RAF Cranwell to be licenced to teach us Cadets. To celebrate his certification, on returning to Shoreham and much to the delight of all that had gathered to watch, he executed a perfect barrel-roll over the Flying School in a non-aerobatic Cessna 150!
Not much noted in my log for a week or so as it was ground schooling, flight planning and then flying!
On the 30th of June as a reward for our initial efforts, Doc Watson and us three Cadets piled into F.172 G-AXVX for a trip to their 'Cessna' approved maintenance company's base at Cranfield, up in Bedfordshire
This served as our first major 'Cross-Country' exercise and heading off from Shoreham we tracked around both the Gatwick and Heathrow Terminal zones before overflying RAF Halton where down below we spied an assortment of ex RAF airframes used for Instructional purposes. A trio of Vulcans, a Comet, a Twin Pioneer, a couple of Canberras and three Hunters slid by down below, then after eventually passing Leighton Buzzard we dropped into Cranfield.
While we waited for 'Doc' to sort out various business, amongst all the civilian light aircraft parked there, including my first Cessna 150 Aerobat N8308M, Cranfield's College of Aeronautics' MS.760 Paris G-APRU was noted along with a visiting Royal Navy Westland Wasp, XS453
Our return flight was the reverse routing but this time we were aboard G-AWGD, the school's other F.172 that we'd swapped for 'XVX'. We'd also swapped seats for the return and no doubt halfway back and being young then, without landing, we made a bit of a clamber about to swap again so that each of us got some useful flying time in

this shirt was found in France, and the company is called Géant Casino.
now we are talking about a mass production company!!
how the hell do you stop this? :-/
please see my original picture below.
Leaves and berries are right up there with my favourites to paint. However, I often struggle with red berries; their richness and warmth don't always fit into my muted, slightly grungy colour palette. However, lush purple berries combined with blue-green leaves - now we are talking!

I've missed this person very much. We'd let life get in the way of our friendship and drifted apart. Now we are talking again. It feels so comfortable, like we never stopped speaking.
See it LARGE!..(Oh & thanks for 10,000 views of my stream!)
Having a recurring dream at the moment about a bridge not too dissimilar to this...
Had a little look into it, but still need your help. Apparently, a bridge may symbolise any sort of transition in the dreamer's life. (*Ok. I can go with that). Freud gives the example of a woman who wants to be a man (*WTF!?..that Freud was more of a perv than ME!), and consequently dreams of bridges that don't quite reach the other side of the river (*surely not me, maybe Ronnie though). However, the symbolised change may be something that can be acheived more easily, but still possibly requiring will and determination; for example, a change of lifestyle (*more sex please!,...looks longingly towards Jacq)!), or passing from middle years into old age (*not me surely, i'm a mere youngster).
The bridge is a means of crossing a river (*no shit sherlock!), and even crossing from one country to another - foreign, new, strange - country (*Australia perhaps!!...where is that Ark?). It may therefore symbolise a critical juncture in your life: for example, about whether you are going to be able to go through with a change from living on your own to living with a partner (*i'd need a partner to give this validity, ...Jacq you in??); from one job to another (*Hmmm..na); from one set of values to another (*but i have no values, morales or ethics, nope).
It may also symbolize birth - that is, the crossing from 'the other world' to this, or from womb to an independent existence (*Hang on Freud! There is a difference between wanting to get into a gals pants and wanting to get into her womb, surely!).
It may even represent the male sexual organ, which 'bridges the gap' between male and female sexual partners (*now we are talking. So i've been dreaming about a cock, ...great, maybe i'm gay after all.)
Quite a wide range of possible interpretations. All in all though, i'm still confused... before i go and get a sex change please lend your thoughts!
Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope!
Melanie and I, lets just say are very enthusiastic Indian food eaters and critics. Having lived and worked in Whitechapel we have been spoiled by Brick Lane and we have our favourites dotted around the country such as Chapati Cafe in Salford or the Bombay Bustle and Khans (You have to try their Chicken Jalfrezi) in London or the best of all time, Green Gates Indian Restaurant Merchantcity in Glasgow. We went for brisk winter walk along the White Cliffs and ended up looking for a curry! We tried the Old Swingate Inn just because it was close but we walked in and walked out, no atmosphere and looked very jaded and what was on the table, no thanks. So we ended up driving to Coppers in Hythe, great reviews and now we are talking, great atmosphere, fabulous genuine food and great owners, we shall go again. And the walk was fab too! Will be making my famous Tarka Dhal this weekend too......
Now we are talking. This is a very old and traditional Austrian fire engine based at the village of Going. Steyr have been an Austrian truck manufacturer for many many years but are now owned by MAN. Incredibly this was the number one pump at Going but was due to be replaced by a brand new all wheel drive Volvo FM the following week along with its sister Steyr pump based 6 miles away a Sceffeau

The German leadership is like a blind man touching an elephant, only sees part of the whole situation. When their inflation is already sky high and facing not just a recession but also deindustrialization, this is not the time to challenge another world economic power. They should learn from Prof Kishore Mahbubani. They will miss their former Chancellor Angela Merkel. Let's face it, it's the sanctions of Russia led by the G7 that created the energy crisis, not the Russian invasion of Ukraine per se, Countries that don't sanction Russia don't face a similar energy crisis, at least not to the same extent.
Sanctions are supposed to hurt the other country more than your own country. But that doesn't appear is the case right now.

Germany drawing up new China trade policy, vows 'no more naivety'
BERLIN, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Germany's economy minister said on Tuesday the government was working on a new trade policy with China to reduce dependence on Chinese raw materials, batteries and semiconductors, promising "no more naivety" in trade dealings with Beijing.
Sources told Reuters last week the economy ministry was considering a raft of new measures to make business with China less attractive. This is the first time the minister has made clear the tougher line was being translated into policy measures.
Robert Habeck told Reuters that China was a welcome trading partner, but Germany could not allow Beijing's protectionism to distort competition and would not hold back criticism of human rights violations under threat of losing business.
"We cannot allow ourselves to be blackmailed," he said in an interview.
Habeck did not outline new measures in full, but said they would include closer examination of Chinese investments in Europe, such as infrastructure.
China has been Germany's biggest trade partner for the past six years, with volumes reaching over 245 billion euros ($246 billion) in 2021.
But the centre-left government is taking a tougher line towards Beijing than its centre-right predecessor, worried about Germany's dependence on Asia's economic superpower.
On Thursday, Reuters reported the economy ministry was considering measures including reducing or even scrapping investment and export guarantees for China and no longer promoting trade fairs.
Habeck said Germany must open up to new trading partners and regions as many sectors were heavily dependent on selling to China.
"If it (the Chinese market) were to close, which is not likely at the moment ... we would have extreme sales problems," Habeck said, adding the economy ministry was contributing to the new German-China policy, much of which is already in place.
"And from this you will see that there is no more naivety," he added.
Berlin also wants to examine Chinese investments in Europe more critically, he said, adding Europe should not support China's Silk Road Initiative, which aims to buy up strategic infrastructure in Europe and influence trade policy.
As an example, Habeck signalled he was opposed to plans by China's Cosco to buy a stake in a container operator at Germany's Hafen Hamburg port, signalling concerns about Chinese takeover deals are spreading out from the technology arena into other industry sectors, such as logistics.
"I'm leaning towards the fact that we don't allow that," he said.
China has not joined the West in imposing sweeping sanctions on Moscow following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but has also not endorsed Moscow's actions as Beijing needs to maintain trade relations with Europe.

You really don’t understand how bad it could get in Europe this year
Europe's energy crisis is already here, but these might still be the good days.
An energy crisis the likes of which hasn’t been seen in decades is unfolding around the world.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February of this year created a ripple effect in global markets. Western nations that once relied on energy supplies from Russia—the world’s second largest natural gas producer and third largest petroleum producer—condemned the invasion by refusing to buy Russian energy, or were cut off by President Vladimir Putin.
Nowhere is this crisis more pronounced and more dangerous than in Europe, where a long-standing gambit on cheap Russian gas has backfired. At the onset of the war, the European Union’s 27 member nations relied on Russia for 40% of their natural gas—the second most common energy source in Europe behind petroleum oil.
But now, with Russian supplies limited, the benchmark price of natural gas in Europe has more than doubled over the past year, and both consumers and corporations are getting hit hard.
Electricity bills have already tripled in many places. Some coffee shops and restaurants have seen monthly bills rise from €2,000 a year ago to €7,000 now, and major industries have started furloughing workers and cutting back on expenses due to high electrical bills. The situation is so dire that governments that previously renounced fossil fuels and nuclear power are desperately reopening shuttered coal plants and nuclear sites, and nationalizing utility companies to save them from going bankrupt.
But as bad as it is now, these might still be the good days for Europe. With winter and higher gas demand on the way, experts told Fortune that Europe’s energy market has never been more vulnerable. Even the slightest uptick in energy demand anywhere in the world could push entire sectors of Europe’s manufacturing industry to shut down entirely, devastating European economies with a wave of unemployment, high prices, and in all likelihood public unrest and divisions between European nations.
“Prices are at historically record levels. We have never ever seen anything actually like this,” Tatiana Mitrova, a research fellow with Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy, told Fortune. “This will become quite painful.”
Trying to prepare for a crisis
As soon as the war began in Ukraine, European nations scrambled to secure their energy systems against disruptions of natural gas supply from Russia. They had two options: increase supply of gas coming into the continent, or reduce the demand.
First, Europe turned to the supply side to resolve the mounting energy crisis by diversifying the countries that supply natural gas to the bloc, and reduce its reliance on Russian flows. EU countries looked to Qatar, the U.S., and central Asian nations to strike trade deals for both natural gas and LNG (liquified natural gas), a more easily transportable form of gas that can be shipped by sea rather than flowed through pipelines.
But trying to solve the crisis on the supply side comes with a catch: time. Increasing natural gas flows from countries other than Russia requires building more pipelines, while importing more LNG means constructing dedicated terminals in Europe that can regasify liquid gas, a process which can take anywhere from two to five years.
And there is only so much countries can do to shore up supplies in the short term. Expanding natural gas infrastructure is expensive, demands years of investment, and the results likely won’t kick in until the summer of next year, Penny Leake, a research analyst at energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie, told Fortune. Four other experts that Fortune spoke with said that until the summer of 2023 at least, suppliers are unlikely to be able to increase flows to Europe by a high enough volume to replace Russian gas.
With immediate supplies maxed out, Europe’s energy system is balanced on a ledge. That means that addressing demand is the only realistic measure left at Europe’s disposal. And that could come through painful means like mandated and widespread energy rationioning, according to Mitrova.
“I’m afraid that the only solution this winter will be on the demand side,” said Mitrova. “I think it will be quite difficult to avoid some sort of rationing and restrictions in gas demand.”
Economic spiral
European countries including Germany, France, and Spain approved energy conservation measures this summer in an effort to increase gas reserves as much as possible before the weather turns colder.
But the stability of Europe’s gas reserves depend on a relatively mild winter, because if it gets cold enough, it could send demand soaring higher than Europe’s reserves can handle.
European governments have already implemented some energy conservation and rationing laws, such as turning off traffic lights at night and dimming lighting on historic buildings. They have stopped short of ordering consumers to lower their energy use, but with energy demand much higher during the winter, they may be forced to make some difficult choices.
“We should understand that we are choosing between different bad options, we do not have a good scenario at the moment,” Mitrova said.
Reducing gas demand in Europe either through rationing or high prices could have a prolonged and debilitating effect on Europe’s society, and it’s already having destabilizing consequences for some industries and economies.
Over 70% of European fertilizer producers—which rely on the ammonia extracted from natural gas production—have already halted operations, according to Mitrova, and soaring energy costs are forcing those European factories and manufacturers to slow down operations.
But the worst-case scenario would be a shutdown of European manufacturing industries most reliant on natural gas—including glassmakers and steel companies.
“A big thing that we will be seeing in the next few weeks, months, and into 2023, will be how this situation of sustained very high gas and electricity prices could impact industrial activity,” Mauro Chavez, research director of European gas at Wood Mackenzie, told Fortune, adding that many of these “more sensitive” industries may be forced to shut down soon because of energy prices.
Chavez added that so far, most European factories have only reduced their capacity, rather than shut down entirely. But industrial plants that rely on natural gas for electricity or are located in countries where gas plays a bigger role in the energy mix, could start shutting down soon because of unbearably high costs.
This week, Europe’s largest car company Volkswagen suggested that high electricity bills could lead the company to relocate its production capacity from countries that were highly-dependent on Russian gas—including Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia—to southwestern European nations which have access to more diversified energy streams, including LNG terminals.
A new type of energy crisis
The crisis could not have come at a worse time for Europe, as the continent’s energy system is still recovering from a summer of extreme weather and worker strikes slowing operations. Combined with these challenges, this crunch could be one of the worst energy crises on the continent since the 1970s.
It already means high prices for average Europeans, companies cutting back on production, and a slowdown in the fertilizer industry. But if it forces all kinds of industries to shut down or relocate, experts say it could lead to a much longer wave of unemployment and economic downturn on the continent.
That kind of outcome could persist long after winter is over, experts say. Cutting back on industrial capacity could lead to “lower economic activity, higher levels of unemployment and even greater potential for recession,” Goldman Sachs senior energy strategist Samantha Dart wrote in a recent post, evoking memories of the rationing and unemployment that swept the continent during the 1970s oil crisis.
The prices of other energy sources—especially coal—have also risen over the past several months with higher global demand for them. And a summer of extreme weather and drought has crippled Europe’s nuclear and hydropower generation capacity, throwing its ability to compensate for Russian natural gas into doubt.
“Europe is now in a very challenging situation. I would say it is probably worse than the 1970s when there was just an oil crisis. Now we are talking about a crisis with oil, nuclear, hydropower, and gas,” Mitrova said.
Diversifying away from natural gas immediately after the war broke out was made easier by several other energy sources at Europe’s disposal, Ryhana Rasidi, gas analyst at energy consultancy Kpler, told Fortune. But with winter on the way, these alternative sources are beginning to show issues of their own.
In addition to supply shortfalls for natural gas, Europe will soon start feeling the effects of a ban on Russian oil, set to kick in from December onwards. And European countries that may not have been extremely reliant on natural gas are still feeling the sting of an energy crisis. France, long considered one of Europe’s more stable energy suppliers, generates around 70% of its energy from nuclear sources, but efforts to increase power capacity in preparation for the winter have so far been hindered by hot weather and worker strikes.
Combined with a renewable energy grid unprepared for the weight of this winter’s demands, Europe’s new energy crisis promises to be unique in all the worst ways, on every front.
‘Wild west scenario’
The brunt of winter has yet to hit, but tensions are already starting to emerge, leaving politicians with some tough choices.
If the situation deteriorates, every European country is in for a “wild west scenario,” Fatih Birol, head of the watchdog International Energy Agency, warned this week in an interview with the FT.
Birol said the energy crisis could go one of two ways: “EU and members will work in solidarity, supporting each other…or there is another scenario, if everybody is for himself.”
Cracks between traditional EU allies have already begun to show. Last month, Scandinavian neighbors heavily criticized Norway—Europe’s leading domestic natural gas producer—for its decision to curb energy exports in an effort to protect Norwegian consumers.
And if rising electrical bills combine with a wave of unemployment and economic downturn, the crisis could spill out onto the streets.
In Germany, the U.K., the Czech Republic and elsewhere, citizens have already protested rising electricity bills. Last month, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz warned that high energy bills were a “powder keg for society.”
“We can expect some protests,” Mitrova said, adding that Europe should anticipate movements similar to the Yellow Jacket protesters who emerged in France in 2018 protesting higher costs of living and electricity bills.
“European politicians have to prepare for a very difficult season,” she said.
Dealing with rescues is a series of ups and downs. Just as we get on top of one set of issues others raise their ugly heads. When we accept a rescue that has as many issues as Phoenix has, the prognosis is not good. Right from the start, I had told myself that if for some reason Phoenix was unable to make a recovery, that at least her last few weeks would be happy - in a safe haven with food to eat, a roof over her head and people to lavish her with love and attention.
But the truth is, those are just words. When she recently went into distress, it was very clear that the mere thought of losing her was unacceptable. I was looking forward to reporting that Phoenix was making progress, when she suffered a temporary setback that had us all very worried.
As with all rescues, we systematically address their issues in order of their criticality. With Phoenix her malnutrition was of primary concern. Until that was dealt with there was no way to deal with her more serious problems. So throughout her treatment we will continue to encourage Phoenix's weight gain with meals five times a day. And to ensure that the nutrition provided by those meals are properly absorbed into the body, we needed to deal with her extensive intestinal parasites. So, her first visit to the vet included a health check, all shots, treatment for intestinal parasites and blood work to identify any possible infection, illness and/or heartworms. As far as we could tell, there was no obvious signs of illness, however, she did test positive for infection and a heavy burden of heartworm.
It may take some time for Phoenix to achieve a healthy weight so that she can receive treatment to eliminate the adult heartworms. In the meantime, the goal is to prevent the heartworm from reproducing. A heartworm preventative would sterilize the females and kill the microfilaria (offspring). Strict 'bed' rest for 48 hours would be essential, as the treatment could 'stun' the adult worms (males and females) and if she is active while these adults are stunned, they could dislodge from the heart and be life threatening.
As soon as Phoenix began gaining weight it was time to begin dealing with the heartworm issue. We administered Sentinel. Within the hour, Phoenix started experiencing laboured/difficulty breathing. She became anxious, irritable and had no appetite whatsoever. These were not characteristics behaviours for Phoenix. Clearly she was in distress and we headed straight for the vet.
The fast acting steroid shot (IV) she was given upon arrival at the clinic relieved some of her discomfort rather quickly. But she remained fairly unresponsive. Given the potential complications associated with treating heartworms, she remained at the clinic overnight. Further treatment included:
- additional steroid shots to reduce the inflammation caused by the dead microfilaria
- started on a bronchodilator to help keep the airways open
- started on aspirin to act as an anticoagulant (thinner the blood, the less likely it will clot)
It was a stressful night. I could not wait to call the vet to receive an update. The update was promising. She had survived the night and had shown interest in eating. Later when the vet called to let me know Phoenix could be picked up I was elated. When I arrived at the vet, the dog that greeted me was a very different dog than the one I had brought in the day before. I couldn't be happier. Aftercare included the prescribed pills and a week of bed rest. But the vet reminded me that this is just the beginning, the least traumatic of the series. The reality is that Phoenix should remain on leash, no running or exertion until the heartworm is completely gone. Now we are talking months.
Once she has stabilized and achieved her healthy weight, it will be time to deal with the adult heartworms. I know we will take every percaution and the next step will be supervised by the vet, however, I can't help worrying about the reaction she might have to the next treatment... But we will cross that bridge when we get to it.
If you are in a position to sponsor the costs associated with Phoenix’s treatment please go to her ChipIn or to the Keshet Rescue sponsor page and give what you are able. Without the continued support of our sponsors we may not be able to respond to the next Phoenix. Our sponsors allow Keshet Rescue to save/change lives.
Meantime, back to the business of putting some weight on Phoenix. In her first week with us, she has gained 3.9 lbs.

There is something about heavy handed crap policing.......... You can see where these no government types are coming from........ Crap policing....... It certainly makes me hate Virginia ...... Mind you Louisiana too has it fair share of crap policing....... I seem to remember most of them had run away when the going got tough in New Orleans after Katrina .......... Yeah most had left town when me and Matt were there in the Katrina aftermath ....... but today there are a whole ton of them to enforce the no photography of the oil spill ........ or anything oil related. Yeah never mind protect and serve during an emergency lets make sure no one gets a photo on an ordinary day...... hey...... thats proper crap policing for you.
Im not sure how anyone can even pretend to justify new laws that make it illegal for press people to approach the oil spill or the stuff deployed to supposedly protect the shoreline.
Apparently press people can now be fined $40,000-00 for going with in 65ft of an oil boom on the water ....... and their news organization fined $250,000-00........... Clearly this is to suppress information and truthful reporting........ I guess you can see why BP or other oil companies might want those powers...... maybe? ........... but Im not sure why the authorities and the police have gone down this route.......... unless they too want to suppress the truth ?...... surely not in the land of the free on Independence day ????? :-/ :-)
Anyway today I was thinking of photographing some kind of mega oil installation belonging to Conoco that is pumping smoke/gas/steam into the atmosphere....... it looks vaguely dramatic....... but the drama of the view is as nothing to the drama created by this awful woman Sheriff who immediately pounces on me...... makes me stand against my car with my hands out and feet spread....... but she never checks me for weapons (she knows I have none cos she knows Im a press guy) ...... the leaning on the car thing is just for ritual humiliation purposes...... i offer to show Press credentials and to let her look in the trunk to see all the camera gear....... but she is not interested she just wants to file a report that has my driving license number and car number on it as if i really am suspected of terrorism....... when even she full well knows what she is pretending is just a joke.
Any proof that I really am a professional photographer working with Press outlets would just spoil her pretense....... so she doesn't actually want to look in the car or at other ID....... yeah this is crap policing........ so it went on for ever...... as crap policing does.......... so in the end I end up leaning on the car with my hands in my pockets so she is then going for her gun....... yeah....... now we are talking way officious....... and way way crap......... dangerously crap policing.........
I was so bored and outraged by all this crap....... I felt like running off...... I saw an alligator yesterday......... someone was telling me if it comes out the water it can't catch you if you zig zag........ I'm sure the same applies to all these overweight cops that never leave their patrol cars ........ if you zig zag I bet they couldn't even shoot you never mind run after you........... :-))
So I ask about the what the law is that prevents me from taking a photo of pollution being released into the sky from a Chimney Stack. And how I am supposed to know about it........ if there are no signs........ after all you can only be done for trespassing on land where the 'No Trespassing' signs are clearly displayed......... you might think that if you were being detained for thinking of taking a photograph........ well the 'No Photography' signs might have to be displayed or at least the Sheriff detaining you would be able to say something more eloquent than its illegal "Because I say so"...... and.......... "If you ask me about what law you are being detained under again you will be fixing to go to jail and will be questioned by the FBI"
So now she assures me she has placed me on some FBI suspect list and that I had been reported to Homeland Security .......... Ah yes......... crap....... mighty crap policing.......
Big fat crap policing.

Pimples on the temple is a very common problem that needs to be discussed in detail. That is why, here we will tell you as much as possible about why they appear and what to do with them. In this article, we will talk about why acne affects this particular area of the face and how to cure it. Plus, we will give you more information about the preventive measures that you just need to take if You do not want to allow a lot of acne to appear on your temples. In addition, these same measures should be taken after you cure the rash. If you ignore them, the acne will most likely return.
Also, it is worth Recalling that we have already talked about the main causes of acne. First of all, you need to read this article, because in it we talked about the most basic things — about why a rash can appear in principle.
Why Is This Necessary?
The fact is that basically, if there are pimples on the temples, first of all, it is worth addressing the basic reasons. Most likely, the rash was caused by these factors. And only then you need to think about what is special specifically in the temporal area of the face.
Why Do Pimples Appear on The Temple?
And it is worth starting with why acne appears in this area of the face at all. The most common factors that can affect the appearance of acne in the temples completely coincide with the common causes of acne. They’re the ones we list in the first place. The fact is that first of all, it is worth taking measures to eliminate them, and only then go to the local factors that cause acne on the temples.
Namely, if there are pimples on the temples, the cause may be:
Clogged Pores. When the pores are polluted, they form an ideal environment for bacteria to multiply. And, as we know, it is harmful microorganisms that are almost the main cause of acne. In particular, this answers the question of why acne appears on the temples;
Poor Diet. By this we mean that You consume a lot of fatty or sweet foods. The fact is that an overabundance of fatty food provokes increased work of the sebaceous glands, and if the skin is not cleaned in time, then the sebum will clog the pores. As for the sweet, the skin always reacts badly to it. Excess sugar can cause small pimples on the temples and cheeks;
Poor Care. Back to the clogged pores. The fact is that if you have an oily skin type, it is necessary to clean it more often and carefully, since it is allocated and, accordingly, more sebum remains. It clogs the pores, and the inflammatory process begins.
If you eliminate only some of them, and ignore the main one, then we can not guarantee that the pimples will disappear. And the treatment will simply be useless. It is necessary to approach this thoroughly.
What About Pores?
Why do we talk so much about pores? The fact is that the purity of Your skin depends on their purity. Look at how any pimple is formed: first, any dirt gets into the pore, why don’t You clean it and bacteria multiply there, and then a long inflammatory process begins, the result of which is the appearance of acne.
But this is the most basic. Now, let’s move on to all the factors that lead to or exacerbate the problem. As a rule, they differ in men and women. If the causes of acne on the temples of men, as a rule, almost one in one correlate with the General, then it is more difficult with girls — unfortunately, ladies have more factors that can cause acne in this area. Therefore, we will tell you more about them.
Pimples on The Temple in Women: Causes
We’ll start with the ladies. After all, it is girls who most often suffer from this problem. We will look at it from all sides. And to do this, you need to take into account both internal and external factors. Both types of causes strongly affect the skin of our face, and it is desirable that You eliminate these problems in a complex. Namely, if You are wondering why pimples on the temples in women appear more often, the main factors affecting the skin in the temporal area of the face will be the following:
An abundance of cosmetics. We are referring to various Foundation creams and powders. They strongly clog the pores of the face and are poorly washed off, which can cause a strong inflammatory process. What does the temporal region have to do with it? The problem is that it is quite difficult to access, and because of it is difficult to wash off the makeup completely. Even if you use a light BB cream, a good tonic, milk or micellar water. This is one of the main causes of acne on the temples in women; hormones.
Girls have strong hormonal activity. Especially during pregnancy, menstruation, or after an abortion. And, as we know, strong hormone production affects the skin more than completely. It becomes too fat or too weak, which is why pimples appear on the temples of girls. But this is quite a normal situation — acne will disappear as soon as everything in the body normalizes.
Hormonal Failure
This is a more serious problem. If in the previous paragraph we talked about the usual excessive hormonal activity, which is considered normal at certain periods of a woman’s life, now we are talking about failures. It means that you have too much or too little of a certain hormone. As an example: excess testosterone in the body causes a strong secretion of sebum. And its abundance clogs the pores and causes acne.
It is worth understanding that acne on the temples of women is not always caused by a hormonal failure or something else serious. As a rule, you just need to start collecting hair, stop using all sorts of varnishes and so on.
Pimples on The Temples and Forehead: Causes
But often acne affects not only the temporal area of the face, but also others. The most common option is when there are abundant pimples on the forehead and temples of a woman. Now we will talk about why this happens and why acne spreads to other areas of the skin.
If in addition to the temples, the forehead is also affected, then it is very important that Your hairstyle and hair cleanliness. This is especially true for women. Our hair is a carrier of a lot of dirt and fat. No matter how disgusting it sounds, but it’s true, the hair collects a huge amount of dust, fat and other substances that settle on us during a walk around the city, for example.
The temporal area of the face is constantly rubbed by unbrushed hair. Even if they are clean, there is a huge probability that there will be pimples on the temples of women. And if they are also dirty — you cannot avoid serious acne.
In addition, many people associate the appearance of acne in this area with disorders in the work of certain organs. We wrote more about this in this article. Therefore, it is worth saying, acne on the temples for which organ is responsible. Most often, the appearance of this type of acne is associated with disorders of the spleen, gall bladder and intestines. Therefore, if you have a severe acne, we recommend that you immediately contact a good specialist.
What to Do If There Are Subcutaneous Pimples on The Temples?
Sometimes in this area of the face there are not standard acne, which is easy to notice and squeeze out. In some cases, women and men have large and often painful acne. They are difficult to squeeze out, because they are deep under the skin, inside. Of course, it is better not to try, because this way you will not only not be able to get rid of it, but also make the situation worse. And now we will talk about why an internal pimple on the temple could appear.
Such acne rashes may appear solely for internal reasons. For example, improper nutrition, illness, or other things. Therefore, we can immediately say: if you notice a subcutaneous pimple on the temple. you can immediately exclude improper skin care, excess sebum, and more. They are only affected by the following factors:
Disorders in the work of internal organs. We discussed this in the previous section of the article. Just in case, we repeat: basically, a subcutaneous pimple on the temple appears due to disorders in the spleen or gall bladder. Sometimes, this is attributed to intestinal diseases;
Poor Diet. As we said earlier, many products can affect the appearance of acne. Most often, acne is caused by fatty and sweet foods. In some cases, an internal pimple on the temples may be associated with the consumption of milk, flour and heavy food.
Therefore, try to eat properly and visit doctors on time. So, you can avoid acne in any area of the face. As we have already said, proper and thorough care of subcutaneous acne will not help, but this does not mean that you need to neglect it. Continue to use a good moisturizer and quality cleansing agent.
Red Pimples Appeared on The Temple: What to Do?
An equally common problem is acne with redness. As a rule, these are multiple small acne, the appearance of which is accompanied by a slight itching or even painful sensations. The official name of this type of acne is papules. And this is one of the most frequent types of acne that appears on the face. Sometimes there are red pimples on the temples. This is what we will talk about now.
As a rule, such rashes are no more than a consequence of a strong inflammatory process. The causes of this type of acne are even more than the factors that can affect pimples on the temples. Namely, the appearance of papules is associated with:
Disorders of the Gastrointestinal Tract. We have already mentioned that violations in the work of some of the internal organs can provoke the appearance of acne on the temples. In the case of papules, there are violations of the gastrointestinal tract;
Stress and Nerves. We have already told you that stressful situations strongly affect the condition of our skin. In some cases, they can even cause acne. Basically, these are painful red pimples on the temples;
Abuse of spicy, fatty and sweet foods;
Excessive Sebum Production. This can be caused, again, by the consumption of junk food, hormonal failures, improper care, or even normal stress.
Remember!
Papules should not be squeezed out in any case. This is not only difficult and very painful, but will also have negative consequences, in the form of scars. Such acne rashes calmly pass by themselves.
The Pimple on My Temple Hurts: What Should I Do?
There are also cases when ordinary acne rashes are accompanied by unpleasant sensations: itching or even pain. Now we will talk about the latter, as it seems to people a more disturbing situation. A sore pimple on the temple is no more than the result of a more severe inflammation than usual. This does not always mean that the acne will be huge — just the inflammation inside is less calm.
Worry about the fact that a pimple on the temple hurts, do not. The only exception is when it is unusually large and more like a lump. In such situations, you should think about the boil. However, these types of rashes appear very rarely on the temples. Just try not to push the pimple and touch it at a minimum. It will pass without any problems.
Treatment of Acne on The Temples: Effective Methods
Now we should talk about the most important thing. We have already found out why acne can appear in this area at all. However, now we need to tell you about the most important thing — how to get rid of acne on the temples. Of course, it is always worth proceeding from the reason Why you have acne, and eliminate it. But first, you need to make sure that You are treating exactly what needs to be treated. To do this, you should contact a dermatologist.
But if the cause is known for sure, then you can start the process of getting rid of it. A treatment for a pimple on the temple should include the following:
First of all, you need to heal the internal organs, problems with which can cause acne. In this article, we have listed them. Recall that acne on the temples cause disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, spleen, and gall bladder. Also, it is recommended to check your hormonal balance, because, we remind you, a lack or excess of a certain hormone can cause a severe rash.
Start Eating Right
This does not mean that you must eat only vegetables and drink only water. Simply reduce your intake of sweet, fatty, and spicy foods to the necessary minimum by adding more cereals, white meat, vegetables, and fruits to your diet. And of course, you need to drink enough water.
Wash your hair on time, reduce the use of styling products to a minimum and collect them in the hairstyle. The hair should not fall on the temples or forehead, as this pollutes the skin;
Do not forget about proper care, it is also very important. Use a high-quality cleanser, do not forget about scrubbing and peeling, and moisturize the skin.
As you can see, treating acne on the temples is not the most difficult. Remember that it is not enough to live just a week in this way to get rid of rashes. After all, as soon as You return to your previous lifestyle, acne will also return. You need to radically change what You eat, how you care for your skin, and what hairstyle you wear. Healthy skin requires internal health, so do not forget to visit a doctor on time.

My last post for 2010!!!
hmmmm…. Where do I start???
Well, I have been in and out of photography since 2006. I love all types of photography, from Macro to Portraits. In July me and my buddy Danny decided to get into landscape photography. We had no clue what we were doing, we had crapy tripods, took pics at the wrong aperture, showed up at locations at the wrong time of day, didn't use any filters and processed our pics with picasa and iPhoto. LMAO… The past 6 months we have come a very LONG way!!!!!
Honestly, the reason why we have come this far with our NEW love for landscape photograph is because of the Flickr community!
Without flickr we would probably still be clueless!! I have learned something from everyone of my Flickr contacts, whether good or bad.
A couple of things I've learned or changed in these past 6 months.
1. Camera! I was using a Canon Rebel XTi. Great camera but crappy for landscape. In order for me to take it to another level I had to upgrade. I wanted to get the 5D mkII because EVERYONE of my contacts that posted amazing pics used it but after doing research for a month I said meh, It looks like Canon is going to upgrade it soon so I will wait.
In comes the Canon 7D… WooooooW! Huge difference from my canon Rebel XTi. Now we are talking, I love this camera, I couldn't put it down!!! Love it but it has it's limitations.
It's not full frame, resolution is not as high as the 5D and the images are a bit soft. WIll do for now but waiting for the new 5D.
2. Tripod! At the time I was using a crapy 20 dollar tripod I bought from Best Buy with a piece of shit head!!! One day a fellow photographer played with my settings on my tripod and said "follow me young man, you see the tripod and gear head I have, this is what you are to use. Not that garbage you're using. Ok! A couple months later I bought the Mannfrotto tripod and Manfrotto head! LOVE IT, what a world of a difference.
3. Lens! I needed a better lens so I can take better pictures of course. 24-70L 2.8 to the rescue. I'm going to get the 17-40L tho! :-)
4. Filters! I had no clue about filters. A lot of washed out skies and scratching of the head "Why is this not coming out right"? Why does Patrick Smith pictures looks so darn good without blown out skies???? WTF are these Lee Filters he is always referencing??
Ok, me and my buddy do some research on these Lee Filters!!! Oh, ok, so that's what he uses to not get the skies blown out. Long story short, go to the B&H for 3 months straight, NO LEE filters! Call every photography store, NO LEE FILTERS!!!! Lee is staring to piss me off! Finally I get a .3 Lee ND Grad I go out and do some shooting looking at my pics, still I have blown out skies!!! WTF, I thought Patrick was using Lee filters to NOT get blown out skies! I go back to his flickr page and see that he uses two .9! oh Duhhhh!!! I'm using one .3. I call every photography store and NO one has Lee .9 ND grads for the past 5 or so months!!! Now I'm pissed off so I say F&CK it. Lets get Singh Ray filters!!! :-)…
5. Post Processing! I'm a computer geek, I love computers! But I don't want to sit behind a computer fixing photos! So, what I try to do is get everything in camera that I can.
Prior to December, the only program I used for post after my Picasa experience was Lightroom 3. I love Lightroom 3, It easily manages all my photos and It's very easy to do quick edits but it was lacking something that I just couldn't put my finger on. In the beginning of December I decided to get Photoshop CS5. I have no clue how to use it like others. I just learned how to sharpen photos about a week ago. I'm still clueless on how to use layers. Learning these techniques should not be a problem for me because I've been in the computer field for 12 years. But, like I said, I don't like to do post with my pics. I'm so anal about it, it annoys me when my photo isn't straight and I have to straighten it!!!!
6. Of Course I use an iMac!!! ;-)
I want to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year! Let's see what 2011brings!!!

So now we are talking ! - Its now everyday you get asked to build a model of the Millennium Falcon for work !
I was given to days to design and build this model, A scale was not specified, only and overall size. The client wanted a Han Solos in the cockpit at the last minute, even thought e scale was not correct.
This model ended up on the wall of a child bedroom. He had won a competition to have his design for a Star Wars themed bedroom to be built out of LEGO ! - other I items I bult for the project include:a Deathstar Lampshade< AT AT Writing Desk and Yoda's House as a chest of drawers !
Model Designed and built for Bright Bricks
Camera: ICA Reflex 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 (Model 756/1, aka Tudor)
Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 150mm f/4.5
I like the 3x4 format better because the 4x5 SLRs are really too big and heavy to carry around for casual shots. The 3x4 SLRs are much more manageable. And there are 3D models that can convert the back to accept 4x5 film holders, albeit in a slightly cropped 4x4 format. Now we are talking about gigantic Instagram photos!
This camera came to me in tattered condition, while missing mirror, focus screen and hood. But the good news is that the lens and focal plane shutter are in good working condition. So a rescue is in order!
I thoroughly cleaned the entire camera inside and out. Then I sourced mirror and focus screen from eBay. I do need to shim the focusing screen a bit in order to collimate the focus screen with the film back. Lastly, I hacked together an adapter to use the focusing hood from a 4x5 field camera.
Now it seems to be in proper working condition. Film test will be next. It uses the now almost obsolete 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 sheet film. Ilford, Foma and Svema still make film in this format, as well as Aviphot 200 aero film cut down by boutique stores.

Living room/dining room wall down. Now we are talking!
Oh the wonders of the interwebs.
Bex and I came across each other on Skype tonight/morning.
It's kinda strange that it's in the am where Bex is and the pm where I am.
This is the first ever time we have Skyped each other.
Bethany introduced us to the wonders of Skype a while back and tonight the heavens collided or something cool like that and now we are talking in real time.
Bex's Version of this shot is here!
P.S. I totally intended to catch up on my comment love tonight, but it seems that I got a little sidetracked with a long distance phone call.
Google Earth tells me that it is 15,819 miles from Florence, Alabama to Caves Beach, New South Wales. But it tells me I have to Kayak to Japan first, then drive all over the place, then kayak to Australia before driving again. Go figure!
As the crow flies it's only 9,075 miles (14, 605km).
See, I told you it was loooong distance.
Ah, now we are talking! Looking at this display of beautifully turned statues, I was probably right in my assumption that the chaps outside were not the actual artisans turning out these masterpieces but merely technicians polishing and finishing the statues received from the workshop. Just look at how beautiful and pristine the statues look here! In particular I love the white of Guanyin in the foreground! Guanyin, also called Gwun Yam in Cantonese, is the Buddhist bodhisatava of compassion. Usually (but not always) depicted in the female form, Guanyin is also referred to as the goddess of mercy. (Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, Nov. 2016)
now we are talking light & air pollution, kind of pretty, and future looking.
Been driving around the block where i work and tried to find some beauty in this living dystopia
Descending those steps and walking along that path next to the rivulet (see previous picture) brings us to another waterfall, this one much larger and more powerful than the previous one we saw earlier. Ah, now we are talking! The waterfall was so large that the crowds were well spaced out along it's length, so one did not feel bugged with endless lines of selfie seeking tourists at all! Ah, so now we are talking. Just look at the sheer size of it! I am sure this must have been done by the civic authorities themselves, using Nek Chand's mosaics nand sculptures only as decoration. Detailed notes about the Rock Garden appear in previous captions earlier in this album. (Chandigarh, north India, Nov. 2017)
Now we are talking “old”! Ball Point Pen on lined paper torn out of a school notebook. Linear perspective realized early. Actually, I don’t really know how early this was done, but at that time I’m still pretty faithful to realism. And what kid doesn’t think a lot about planes and cars. I wish I could find examples of my illustrations Inspired by Cartoon magazine. I think they were regarded as too vulgar - tattoos, long hair, hot rods, rats and all. I would go off to summer camp and when I returned back home some of my things seemed to be missing. My uncle was only twenty years older than me. He was cool!! I stayed in his room when visiting grand parents. He gave me a Jungle hammock and we used to body surf together. He played the guitar, smoked a pipe, had been a paratrooper, flunked out of West Point, was a big fan of the original small version of “Mad” magazine. He was and still is an artist! I think he kind of scared my father. My dad managed hospitals and my uncle could not afford health insurance for his young family. I was not encouraged artistically.
