Since starting a daily sp-series again two weeks ago, I've really been questioning who I am, and what I want to express. I feel I am a lot of things, but I'm having a hard time putting it into images as of late (although my recent efforts have been "successful" in describing, together, me as a person... but it's been hard to get there).

I even sat down a few days ago, grabbed a pencil and piece of paper, and just wrote down words I felt were me, words I associated with my personality, interests, worries and thoughts.

Of course, I am a reader. Among other things, that I hope to continue to explore & express.

Testing the new computer (and screen), here's the resulting first edit of a photo I took this June. ~~(Might have to tweak it a bit later on, will have to see how this looks on other screens.)~~ Gave it a slight tweak, definitely think it looks better now :)

Have been wanting to do a monotone edit for a while now, you might see more of this on my stream.

As I'm getting the new computer ready, I'm also reorganizing my photo archives. You might see some older works pop up here while I'm also going to focus on newer work now that I have the room and the means to edit new photos again :) Yay new (fast as hell) computer.

I planned on doing this yesterday, and took a few shots, but wasn't satisfied and took a different photo instead. But still wanted to do this right, so redid it today (the song this was inspired by was on repeat as I shot this), to my satisfaction. And yes, COLOR. I wanted some in my stream, and as I love red, well...

Still got that headache. I didn't sleep well last night either. I'm just hoping it will be over tomorrow, we have people coming over..

a) I'm working with models more, have another shoot Saturday and am planning two more for October. Busy, busy.

b) I'm working on new projects, but I'm starting with research. Lots of reading, viewing and thinking before shooting this time. New self-portraits and related project work will come, but I want to dig deeper, prepare, first.

c) I'm generally trying to get organized. I'm doing well so far.

Preview from today's photo shoot with Lieke. We were in luck, weather wise: great temperature (she wasn't cold at all!), sun and beautiful autumn colors. I tried to get a few different results, bring some variety into my model sessions portfolio by working with brighter colors for instance, and direct sunlight.

I shot a few digital photos which I've started editing right now while waiting for my 3 rolls of film to be developed. That's right, people - FILM. It's been far too long and I'm very excited to see the outcomes. Fingers crossed for something good! (I used my Canon EOS 300 slr with Ilford B&W film, and for the autumn colors I lomofied it up using my Holga and LC-A).

PS - Happy Halloween!! We're about to watch Zombieland :)
