It seems George's long standing battle is over, and finally he wins.
I'm obviously referring to his battle with the media, who, when he was at death's door, would lavish praise on him for being a flawed but lovable hero and the greatest footballer the world had known. then as soon as he started getting better, they'd paint him as a drunken, wife-beating, womanizing waste of a liver transplant. Nice one. Now he's dead, I guess he'll be getting some good press for a while.
I for one am sorry. I met George once. I bought him a drink (it was a long time ago, okay). He was probably my first hero. Growing up in Northern Ireland wasn't great a lot of the time. But when George put on a green shirt and made fools out of foreign goalkeepers, suddenly it didn't seem so bad to live in a country everyone else wished would just disappear.
poor fella was sick and wasn't doing well most of the weekend. his grandmother (mother's side) drove from TX with my brother to watch him.
On boards.ie Photography at the moment there is a processing challenge. The photograph is by ragorder - I can't take credit for taking it. However, I did process it for the challenge and this is the result.

Actually this isn't my photo, it's one that my Mom took when she was in Mexico last week. I really like it though so I thought I'd put it online. I'm going to help her set up her own Flickr account next month when I'm in Michigan.
I looked at this photo for a long time before it sunk in just how small this turtle is.

ESta la saque de los fondos de la tienda Oliko, me encanta, me parece era un papel mural, no le encuentro textura de tela.
