(Picture above is one of my first Fotos i have from her. Here she shows me the Sim she manages...and gives me a first ride *giggle* ;-) )

.....as i asked her...why she was sorry....she said....i bumped accidently into u...SL lag...and so i wanted to tell u i was sorry. But then you vanished.

Hmmm...i think that was the first time in SL...i thank the Linden Gods for lag. ;-)

Now after a nice short talk...i saw she was a funny and sweet Lady. So we decided to met in SL. She gave me TP to a nice danceclub, and yes....all what i remember from 7th January is..that i had a very good night with her dancing and talking about her life...and all what she had on her heart. I never met such a lovely person before....so direct but also lovely together. We had much laugh.

Then my next days were busy. Didnt came often into SL. A Day before i had my flight to Greece for vacation...was around 11. january....i wanted to buy a new nice skin. Some sweet lovely SL Goddess told me about it...i think her name starts with Mel...Mel something....dont remember the full name now. ;-) Yes...she told me about Minnu Model Skinns. So i was there to find my new look.

I only had some 30 minutes until i had to log out..and go to bed. As next day in morning my flight to Athens was booked. The sweet Lady from from my rezzday meeting Imed me....asking me what i do now. I was in hurry...only told her i was shopping a skin. (secret notification: she had as i met her a very ugly skin...and yes only one in her inventory....so no..it was not the skin that attracted me the dance night).

So i gave sweet Alexis a LM....and as i was looking for skins there...she was flying around me...starting to get a new obsession. Dont blame me....but i think..she has today around 200 expensive skins...and 2000 free or 1 L$ ones. I cant say...who started this obsession inside her. Couldnt be me. ;-)

After i came back from greece 10 days later....she Imed me again. Told me to met her. So i got a invitaion to her home.

to be continued on next Pic....

Bad

U2

If you should ask then maybe they'd

Tell you what I would say

True colors fly in blue and black

Bruised silken sky and burning flag

Colors crash, collide in bloodshot eyes

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

If I could, you know I would, if I could, I would

Let it go

This desperation

Dislocation

Separation, condemnation

Revelation in temptation

Isolation, desolation

Let it go

And so fade away

To let it go

And so fade away

To let it go

Oh now, and so to fade away

I'm wide awake

I'm wide awake

Wide awake

I'm not sleeping

Oh, no, no, no

So, isolated at home, and doing the right thing by only leaving home for essentials, I'm already getting very trigger happy and dying to get out and shoot a landscape, however...I know I cant, both for my safety and the safety of others.

So today, I've decided to go back through some old files, and try another composite.

Myself and 3 great mates headed off to Narooma last July for a great few days of photography. On the way back to Sydney, we had passed, and then turned back to Sutton Forest to see if we could find anything interesting.

The place is a major logging area, and we knew parts of it would look very desolate.

Sure enough, we came to a clearing, and found this cracking scene. It was the middle of the day, and the sun was high in the sky, with not a cloud to be seen. The light was as harsh as you could get, but I grabbed the camera, and went for a stroll around anyhow, in hope. I tried a few different comps around the car, but this one seemed to show the scene the best.

This is hand held, shot with my Sigma 35mm Art series lens, iso 200 F8, and Sony A7r...no filters.

The sky was shot a few months later, with some more mates, at Watsons Bay Lighthouse.

Blended and reworked on Photoshop CC and Nik Collection

Hope you like "Bad"

Cheers, and stay safe.

Mike

Couldn't resist the title for this one. This is a tapestry woven kneeler depicting a dove with an olive branch in it's beak bringing good news, that I discovered in the church pews of St. Mary's. I loved it so much I have used it on an email notification for new blog posts if you subscribe to them on my website. Seemed fitting.

!!

As long as Activity Feed and E-mail notifications are a mess, I only post one (1) photo per day :-(

!!

When I had returned home from my little drive there was a notification that this bird had been spotted within the city and it would only take 15 to 20 minutes to get there. I figured it would still be there as a sighting of it had also been made the previous day in the same area.

With help from other birders I finally got to see it. Certainly a rarity to see one in the city.

Thanks for your visits and comments! They are all greatly appreciated!

I´m not willing anymore to waste my time for SL people who use FLICKR without giving any respect. Too much time i felt like i´m in a nuthouse or kindergarten .

People posting pics in 40+ faves group but only have 3. People posting colored images in a only monochrome group, posting normal images in a only textured pics group, posting in awarding group but don´t award other, posting couple pics in a only men group and posting also in a high quality group even their image is just a snapshot. I didn´t get paid to run my groups and gosh yea i expected more respect.

I get punished for that i´m admin of SL groups and don´t get deserved faves anymore and god yea i know my work is good but when i compare to other members images getting 220 for a snapshot than something is going wrong here.

FLICKR is by far not anymore what it should supposed to be and i won´t play this game " gimme fave and i fave yours " !

For that i decided to close my sl groups (except blog and RL groups) and stop moderate other groups i´m admin of.

I won´t waste my precious time anymore on my groups where idiots just click ADD ADD ADD and don´t give a shit in which group they post and what are the requirements of a group! And when you post in 240 groups within 5 min it´s fact you don´t care of any rules and thats out of any respect to other group members and to me too, so rudely !

I don´t want your pink stars, neither i won´t give anymore, i don´t want group invites (except for blogging and RL groups ) neither i won´t invite anymore.

And to all my true FLICKR friends, i´m very sorry, please understand my decision.

This is my resolution for FLICKR in 2017 . Thank you for reading this.

Unfortunately, I no longer receive notifications by email of your uploads.

I contacted Flickr about it. They don't know when the problem will be solved. It is impossible for me to follow your uploads anymore. But I haven't forgotten you. You will definitely see my comments appear when the email notifications work again.

sister´s facebook!

I haven't been able to upload anything for a while as I have just been too busy with the day job. I have been looking over some previous shots I haven't had a chance to upload and came across this one.

This location really suits black and white but i thought the colour pop of the sign was appropriate. Shot using my Tamron 10-24mm wide angle lens, this shot was created from 5 bracketed exposures, edited on Photomatix Pro, CS5 and Nik Color Efex Pro. www.mikepearcephotography.co.uk

Aldwych is a closed station on the London Underground, located in the City of Westminster in central London. It was opened in 1907 with the name Strand and was the terminus and only station on the short Piccadilly line branch from Holborn that was a relic of the merger of two railway schemes. The station building is close to the junction of Strand and Surrey Street. During its lifetime, the branch was the subject of a number of unrealised extension proposals that would have seen the tunnels through the station extended southwards, usually to Waterloo.

Served by a shuttle train for most of their life and suffering from low passenger numbers, the station and branch were considered for closure several times. A weekday peak hours-only service survived until closure in 1994, when the cost of replacing the lifts was considered too high compared to the income generated.

Disused parts of the station and the running tunnels were used during both World Wars to shelter artworks from London's public galleries and museums from bombing.

The station has long been popular as a filming location and has appeared as itself and as other London Underground stations in a number of films. In recognition of its historical significance, the station is a Grade II listed building.

sounds like a notification

I'm really trying to use this Notifications Center.

It's got me confused about the 'Mute this notification' option.

I choose it. For the notification that says someone mentioned me as well as the stupidly redundant one that says someone commented.

I keep scrolling down and choose mute on every iteration of that photo that shows.

The notification greys out.

I click Refresh and the Notifications Center loads again.

Sure enough, I'm still getting notifications for that photo.

I close the window. I close the browser.

I come back the next day.

Same photo keeps showing up.

It's got me thinking that 'Mute this notification' doesn't mean stop getting further notifications about this photo.

Anybody got a clue?

Turn on you post notifications to keep me on your feed 💗 Instagram recently dropped the news that it will be adapting a non-chronological newsfeed order, similar to its big brother, Facebook. Instead of sorting posts in a familiar linear order, the new algorithm will weigh in a variety of social signals, such as a number of post engagements. It will also consider content you liked before in an attempt to sort images in the order of “relevancy,” or as what Instagram perceives to be of most interest to you. #instagramchanges
