Many artists keep track of their views and thoughts in a notebook. Have a look at this informative video about her workflow to see how it works for A.K. Dolven. The same video with English subtitles: Time is material

Take my fountain pen and my photos ...
I have always loved small notebooks and photo prints.
I finally found the carnet to connect my desire to return to another time, more obsolete and similar to me.

Four times a year, at the end of each quarter, the notebooks are collected and graded. Of course I want to see everthing --- class notes, vocabulary sheets, cultural info, verb info, tape recorded practice sheets --- everthing completed and in the specified order. Now is that asking too much?
It takes a while to grade the notebooks, but it is worth the time and effort, and I feel good knowing that, when the students leave me, they have a great "resource of information" to use in future Spanish classes.
A macro view of spiral notebook rings, taken for the Flickr Friday group theme, "Ring." The frame spans 1½ - inches across.
Strobist info:
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights positioned 45° CL and 90° CR, one-foot above and two-feet away from the subject. The speedlights were fired in Manual mode @ 1⁄32 power through Neewer 24" x 24" soft boxes.
The SB900s were triggered by three PocketWizard Plus X triggers.

made with a single A4 sheet of paper and a card cover, I have no idea what I'll do with them but they were fun to make :)
Há umas semanas atrás um novo amigo deu-me a conhecer um projecto que iniciou na área da fotografia, convidando-me a participar com o meu trabalho www.blurb.es/user/RSEditions
Surpreenderam-me duas coisas:
O meu trabalho inscreve-se nos segundos e para que conste, é algo que faço apenas pela paixão de quem gosta de vaguear em busca de novas linguagens em torno do meu quotidiano;

A few weeks ago, a new friend introduced me to a project he had started in the field of photography, inviting me to participate with my work - www.blurb.es/user/RSEditions
I was surprised with two things:
- the invitation coming from Portugal, where the elites still being a strong obstacle to the dissemination of new photographers, whether those are professionals or amateurs. My work is inscribed in the seconds and for the record, it is something I do only for the passion of those who like to wonder in search of new languages around my daily life;
- the fact that someone recognized some quality in what I do and therefore thinks it deserves to be part of a book collection with different authors whose quality of work did not leave me indifferent and whom I congratulate since now, inviting all those who are reading me , to explore and taste. For you, Paulo, my special thanks and congratulations. Go Ahead. The courage to start these types of projects is not for everyone, only for those who continue to have a romantic view of life that is often the one that saves us from the multiple routines that lives us many times, near the abyss.
I also invite all of you to take a look at my book, whose name is " To Start a Head " that I share here with great pleasure with friends of every day, hoping that you enjoy it and who knows, maybe buy it or buy any other published author.
