The complete LoK Series from Neca Player Select (2006-2007).
I got these 3 at an unbelieveable price. Please note that this Material Plane Raziel is not the 2011 re-release, but the original released figure from 2007. You can tell from its clamshell package and the color of the torch flame. Besides, i noticed that the Reaver is clearer than the re-released one. This is a treasure i will jealously keep on its package. I even consider the idea of placing it in some kind of frame. I will post pics of that when it happens.

Continuando con los clanes vampiros que conquistaron las tierras de “Nosgoth” llegan los “Zephonim” hijos del teniente “Zephon”, Cuando los clanes se dividieron por territorio el mismo Zephon y sus hijos tomaron la Catedral Silenciada como su guarida. Esta inusual elección fue una orden directa del Rey Vampiro “Kain” quien decreto desmantelar la Catedral y expulsar los cazadores de vampiros ocultos tras su muros. (Creando sus nidos en la Catedral les fue imposible a los humanos reconquistar el arma secreta que había sido silenciada por los invasores.)
Siendo expertos escaladores que asaltaron por sorpresa a los vigilantes de la Catedral, los “Zephonim” evolucionaron con una combinación de vampiros-arácnidos que les otorgo extremidades más delgadas y estiradas que les permitía gran maniobrabilidad al escalar muros de forma horizontal o vertical, descendiendo de la oscuridad de su escondite para acechar con sigilo a sus presas incautas. (Los humanos atrapas eran envueltos en una red y colgados en los techos y paredes como sacos de sangre para alimentarse lentamente.)
Crueles por torturar a sus víctimas, los vampiros “Zephonim” consiguieron su metamorfosis por medio de rituales de resistencia, ingeniería alquímica y selección de candidatos humanos convertidos para su clan. Como dato curioso los “Zephonim” fueron los únicos vampiros de su clan en evolucionar un tercer dedo en sus pies que facilito su forma de escalar.

Los humanos salvajes son un subgrupo de mujeres y hombres que vivieron aislados de sus parientes civilizados a causa de sus creencias tribales que idolatraban la sabiduría mágica de los antiguos Vampiros de “Nosgoth”.
Cuando la orden inquisidora de los “Sarafan” aniquilo la mayor parte de los vampiros muchas de sus ciudadelas fueron saqueadas y se creyeron abandonas hasta la ocupación de los humanos salvajes que se hospedaron en las ruinas para proteger el legado de sus antiguos maestros.
En esta misma ciudadela oculta entre una niebla eterna se resguardo entre sus muros la profecía de los antiguos vampiros, una visión de los acontecimientos futuros de la tierra de “Nosgoth” donde eran descritos dos campeones destinados a combatir y terminar la batalla que había comenzado los antiguos vampiros para restablecer el equilibrio de su mundo.
Tiempo después el ultimo vampiro con vida encontró las ruinas y busco respuestas entre sus muros, al percatarse que no estaba solo se abrió paso blandiendo su espada contra los ágiles humanos salvajes que le impedían acceder por mas respuestas del futuro; Al terminar de visitar cada mural el ultimo vampiro interpreto que sus pasos ya había sido señalados premonitoriamente por la profecía ocupando el puesto del campeón vampiro que terminaría la guerra con su sacrificio. (Su rival pronto seria revelado.) ⚔
Como dato curioso los humanos salvajes cuentan con un atuendo de plumas para camuflarse y honrar la apariencia de sus antiguos maestros (En esta versión los primeros vampiros fueron seres alados.)

Cuando la sombra se extendió y empezaron los tiempos Oscuros en “Nosgoth” fue un hecho público la condena de eliminar a toda la sobrepoblación de vampiros por sus actos degenerados contra la humanidad (Los Guardianes humanos del circulo habían caído presa de la corrupción y para no dejar testigos de su conspiración enviaron fanáticos asesinos para silenciar a sus antiguos maestros los vampiros.)
Los antiguos vampiros que por siglos habían protegido el balance de “los pilares de Nosgoth” fueron perseguidos por su maldición de beber sangre humana y cada uno fue asesinado por la nueva orden militar de los “Sarafan” (sacerdotes-guerreros leales al nuevo orden de los guardianes del circulo); Los Sarafan también conocidos por el título de los “Ángeles de la luz” despreciaban a todos los vampiros como una plaga que merecían el exterminio. Millares de vampiros como humanos convertidos fueron apilados y empalados sus cadáveres en formas degradadas por todos los caminos de “Nosgoth” como señal de advertencia a cada habitante de las ciudades aledañas. (Sin compasión o remordimiento los Sarafan se había tornado más sangrientos que los propios vampiros…)
Durante los años que siguieron para la campaña de exterminio de cada vampiro el líder de los Sarafan “Malek” recluto un joven prometedor y sus cinco hermanos que respondían a los nombres de: Raziel, Turel , Dumah , Rahab , Zephon y Melchiah. Juntos los 6 hermanos demostraron gran destreza en batalla contra los vampiros como también lealtad a la orden y muy pronto ascendieron juntos al rango de “Comandantes Inquisidores Sarafan” siendo Raziel el líder de sus hermanos y el segundo al mando después de Malek.
“Raziel” siendo el segundo líder de los Serafan (presuntamente con 30 años de edad) había nacido siendo humano y despreciaba tanto a los vampiros que su odio y orgullo de guerrero dirigió su estrategia para diezmar a sus enemigos hasta solo quedar un solo vampiro vivo que se escondía de su ira en una guarida oculta en lo alto de las montañas centrales de “Nosgoth”. (El solitario vampiro que se ocultaba con tristeza presentía que su final estaba cerca.)

I still remember the first time i encountered Dumah. I had no idea of what to do to defeat him.
"Even the strongest vampire is vulnerable" -Raziel declared. And it was damned true! That was one of the things i loved about this game (Soul Reaver): that Raziel even being smaller than his former brethren, he was smarter enough to bring 'em down.
That's also one of the things i love about Shadow of the Colossus, another GREAT game.
The 12" dude. I still don't understand why my friends don't really like this guy. I love him!
I had to buy 2 of these to get the helmet, so I have an extra helmetless Dumah.
I'm gonna keep the sword in the package, 'cuz i don't like it much and it never appeared on the game. But it's kinda cool anyway, the blade is translucent and has some red decorative etchings.

Los “Sluagh” son depredadores espectrales que habitan en el Inframundo de Nosgoth, como chacales oportunistas se alimentan de las almas perdidas que caen en la dimensión espectral; La única alma libre que puede percatarse de su horrenda apariencia es “Raziel” quien en forma de espectro vengador puede combatirlos.
En solitario los “Sluagh” prefieren huir antes de enfrentar la ira de “Raziel” pero cuando se encuentran en grupos se tornan más agresivos y hábiles si tienen una ventaja abrumadora contra “Raziel”, la batalla por la existencia comienza y quienes pierden son el alimento del vencedor; En algunos casos se presenta el oportuno canibalismo entre los “Sluagh” para recuperar fuerzas y continuar la lucha. (Si el ganador es “Raziel” puede alimentarse de las almas de todos los Sluagh y recuperar su energía.)

La apariencia de los “Sluagh” es descripta como reptiles humanoides de piel verdosa, cabellos largos con grandes ojos iluminados y una dentadura siniestra. Los “Sluagh” son habitantes de una dimensión invisible para ojos mortales, esta dimensión es denominada como “Reino Espectral” o mundo de los muertos un lugar sombrío y triste que refleja los ángulos retorcidos del “Reino Material”, sin tiempo o presencia física de agua las almas extraviadas en esta dimensión pueden vagar por la eternidad de este purgatorio hasta ser reclamados por las criaturas nativas de esta dimensión como alimento. Esta cadena de cíclica de nacimiento, muerte y renacimiento tiene la connotación religiosa de llamarse la “Rueda del destino” y todos los seres sensibles participan en cada giro para alimentar los caprichos del dios antiguo 🐙 a excepción del alma de “Raziel” quien consiguió el libre albedrio de sus destino. 😊
Como dato curioso los “Sluagh” son espíritus inquietos del folclor Irlandés y escoces.
Por ultimo quiero citar los diálogos de “Raziel” y el dios antiguo cuando encuentran una pareja de “Sluagh”:
*Raziel: ¿Quiénes son esos infelices?
*dios antiguo: Sluagh, los carroñeros del Inframundo. Su hambre salvaje se ha apoderado de innumerables almas, espíritus que nunca encontrarán su descanso… 🐙
