Crazy noseslide what the.

First roll i shot off with the CF T* 30mm. One hell of a lens... its really weird to get used to square fisheye and the way the lens works because its totally different than shooting dogfish.

Probably coulda been better

i guess cheap flashes don't work very well when coupled with 400w/s and 120w/s strobes, hence the lack of rim light

Strobist : Vivitar 285 at 1/4 power to the left of me, Vivitar 285 at 1/4th power at the end of the ledge, and a Neewer TT560 at 1/4th power on top of the ledge pointed at the skater.

This was before one of my flashes broke.

This photo was taken in the last weeks, when it was possible to skate outside. Martin and I met in front of our university, and headed to his childhood neighborhood. We waxed this curb, and Martin started to slide it, then the owner of that building came and wanted to kick us out. We calmly talked to her, that we needed a photo, and we really appreciate the old buildings in that district. She told that they just renovated the building, and we were there to destroy the ledge. Our argument was that we waxed it with a candle, and we are not sliding on the concrete, but on the layer of candle, and we showed to her, that the candle can be removed. Fortunately she saw that we where right and let us skate the spot. Martin had wanted to skate this spot for couple of years, so it was good that we have it on film.

Shot with canon A1 and two flashes.

FLARE!

Here's one from the vault taken sometime last season. Kurtis Rothecker worked hard into the night against the -40 Edmonton winds to earn this noseslide tap pretzle.
