I was happy to hear this Yellow Warbler as I sat on a bench resting next to a wetland and some Willow trees, which these warblers are often found. And being Earth Day made it that much sweeter to find.

My area has a beautiful small park called The Brick Pond Park. My wife and I love to walk the park at different times of the day. There is so much wildlife attracted to the ponds teaming with fish. Sam, as we have named him, is a very large Great Blue Heron. Sam does not seem to be too excited to see humans close by. He usually allows us some great photography while he hunts.

Reminiscent of the antebellum period, Rosemary Inn was built in the early 1900's in North Augusta, SC by the founder of the city, James U. Jackson.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the once private home now operates as a bed and breakfast.

Yellow-Rumped Warbler photographed at Brick Pond Park in North Augusta South Carolina. I was walking between the two ponds and this little guy flew to an adjacent branch to me. Singing his little heart out, or he may have just been agitated that I was too close to a nest.
