Normal...? was a night of short plays that all dealt with the question "What is normal, anyhow?"

Give credit to Schneider that their idea of advertising is a dense page of technical text.

The "normal=diagonal" rule of thumb is well known but there are some other strange ones proposed in the first paragraph, re: what focal lengths would be considered wide-angle, portrait lens, etc. for each format. For example on 24x36mm full-frame, would you consider an appropriate portrait focal length to be 60mm?
