Norfolk & Western Railway Caboose (NW) 518675 was outside of the roundhouse in December 2004.

Excited to see lots of Norfolk Hawkers at Strumpshaw Fen today! Thankfully this pair settled and so I managed a shot!

The Story: Found looking through some oldies. Two of the four Norfolk Southern F Units were in town for Steamtown's Railfest weekend, and some of us stuck around for their departure home.

Another one of my friend's lovely dog in the shallows at Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk Coastline in England. Taken with a Canon 50mm lens and edited in Lightroom.

A few more Bullfinchs from Titchwell this week. They have nearly finished the remaining flowers, I think they will be somewhere else next week

Standing in the heart of Norfolk's undulating fields, Bircham Windmill now looks as it did over 100 years ago. At that time over 300 mills ground corn for horse & cattle feed and bread-making in Norfolk.

Today, very few windmills are left, and Bircham Mill is considered one of the best still remaining: it is the only windmill in working order in this area open to the public.

Visitors can climb the five floors up to the fan stage and, when possible, on windy days, visitors can also see the sails and the milling machinery turning.

Holkham Hall, Norfolk, 20 Apr 2023

Unfortunately our trip to Norfolk is off. The Fenmans Cottage in the middle of Crabbetts Marsh we stay at is below sea level and due to all the rain, high water table and the weather warning for high winds the causeway that we need to get to the cottage is submerged so can not be reached. Shame, but plan "B" there must always be a plan "B" rolls into action!

Another beautiful morning on the Norfolk Broads, taken this morning.

Morston Quay is on the North Norfolk coast, tucked away amongst the salt marshes. Some 400 years ago it was a major port, but over the years this got silted up, and it is now home to a number of small boats, including a handful of fishing boats and boats that take tourists out to see the seals at Blakeney Point. This area is part of Blakeney National Nature Reserve, and is owned by the National Trust.

Blakeney National Nature Reserve is an internationally important nature reserve bequest to the National Trust in 1912. The area is home to a varied range of flora and fauna with Blakeney Point home to a breeding seal and tern colony. This unspoilt stretch of Norfolk coastline offers uninterrupted wide open spaces and breath taking views. Blakeney village and nature reserve is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit
